EXCERPT from Rivals Article Most recently Abraham has added offers from UConn, Tennessee, Texas and UCLA to go along with previous offers from Georgetown, Florida, Maryland, Arizona State, Kansas State, Marquette, Seton Hall and VCU.
Even more schools are on the radar, but it looks like Abraham is starting to develop a hierarchy to his school list.
"Right now Georgetown is at the top," said Boncore. "Being in D.C. we know what they can do and saw it against Duke. Moses is just trying to develop relationships with the head coaches, and he loves John Thompson.

Thanks harlem. I posted that video about a month ago (it's on the first page of this thread).
As for Moses, his scoring numbers have gone up the past 3 games. He was the leading scorer on his team last night with 25pts against Don Bosco; he dropped 22pts last Friday against Ideal; and he had 13pts against National Christian last week (the big 7 footer Jordan Omogbehin had 2 pts for National Christian).
Moses, however, is shooting less than 50% from the charity stripe for the season.

Great video - thanks guys. Moses would be a great get for us in the late signing period.

One thing stood out about Moses to me. He's in good shape right now for the college game in terms of size. He has to work on some things - rebounding looks like an issue maybe on the defensive end. Seems like a decent finisher. Don't see anything wrong with taking him with an idea that he could steal minutes for Vaughn and Greg and maybe allow us to push Greg to the 4 more next year if he returns.

I don't disagree. My thinking is that we need another big in any event since we're thin up front even with Greg.

I think a big and a wing is in order. Good thing is if everyone returns; nobody has to play heavy minutes.

Xmas is 2011 though. We need another big with Nate from next year's class IMO. Operating on the assumption GM is gone, that would leave us in the same position we are in now (Nate/HS/JB/JV) except with no dominant big we can depend on. Gotta try and grab two this year, and of course still ideally bring in Rakeem in 2011.

I think JTIII rolls the dice and adds Abraham this year (he's got good size and potential) - we are in best position of all schools to get him (he likes us; he's local; we have a history of success with African-born players (Mutumbo, Ruben, Ya-Ya, Boubacar, etc.). Just hope there are no glitches in NCAA qualification process.
Then we go for broke to land Rakeem and either Johnson/Cook in fall of 2011. If accomplished, we are set up pretty nicely with 4 Top 75 recruits in 2 years, and can fill roll-player pieces in afterwards to surround the blue chippers.
From what I can sense, this is the plan (long-standing offer to Rakeem and newly minted offers to Moses and Johnson).

(I'm sure that comment was meant sardonically, but couldn't help but respond just the same). I agree with Ranch Dressing (interesting moniker, that), even though I'm more of a roquefort guy myself. Another big this year and a goal of Rakeem and Johnson/Cook next year would be ideal.

Nah. If Greg stays then one big is enough. If Greg leaves then you consider two but lets understand that there is no guarantee they will be good enough so you could end up wasting two schollies on late spring signings. What the team does not need to do is to waste a scholarship on a wing player. There aren't any left over worthy of considering. save it for 2011. We have enough guys on the team now who can play the wing. And this needs to be said...I don't trust III to use his available players. All we need next season is to see five scholarship players who never get off the bench.

Did that new go-pro deadline pass? Will we know Greg's status before the spring signing period?

True. One big that can play center and PF. That'll allow Nate to play strictly PF and develop. As for 2011, I'd like Rak, Ty, Mikael and Jordan O. One of the bigs could be redshirted. First, let's convince GM to return for a championship run.
