CONGRATS DFW!!!!
Thank you for your dedication, hard work and effort in creating hoyasaxa.com and hoya talk (my favorite websites). I do feel part of a loyal community and am continually impressed with the intelligence, dedication and humor so many posters display. Yet another example of being proud to be a Hoya.
Cheers!

Nice work DFW. You have come along way for a guy sleeping on a crummy air mattress at University of Seattle. Bravo.

From someone who has relied on this board for Hoya info for years, congratulations. I know the award is for much more than just the creation of this board, but I think the board would be a sufficient reason.

Congrats John. Good to see someone who not just bleeds Hoya blue and gray but actually does something about it receiving just recognition....

I'm assuming the Reed Alumni Award is names for James Patrick Reed, who was Executive Director of the Alumni Association for many years. I knew him well, and he was a huge Georgetown basketball fan during the glory years in the 80's and early 90's as well as a strong supporter of the GU Athletic Hall of Fame. Congratulations to DFW for carrying on the tradition.

VERY impressive. I had no idea, but at the same time I'm surprised only by the recognition, not the deeds. Congratulations!

Congratulations on the honor! As stated before, this website and message board is probably the best way for countless alums, students, and fans across the country to stay connected to not only Georgetown basketball, but all athletics and the school as a whole. Thank you for everything, and for your dedication to Georgetown. Well-deserved.

Congrats DFW! Well deserved! 10/26: Thanks to everyone for their posts above. I was not on the board this weekend owing to football's bye week and didn't get to the thread until this morning. I appreciate the kind words and those e-mails received from a cross-section of the alumni community. --JR
