As long as G4 keeps running 12 Monkeys, I will just keep watching in 5–10 minute bits, all along trying to figure out what the hell is going on. Seriously, I've been watching bits and pieces of this movie for about a month and still find myself flipping by thinking "Well, I've never seen this scene before, so might as well watch some more." Watch it once all the way through. Then watch it again. You will not be disappointed. Brilliant movie. I think there's something to be said for watching it Strummer's way. Same for just about any David Lynch movie.

My problem with Cougartown is that it doesn't really commit and go far enough into the wacky humor that Scrubs used to. That and Busy Phillips is a complete anchor. The rest of the cast is pretty good though (Christa Miller & her husband are great, Cox & her ex-husband are good).
Modern Family on the other hand is awesome.

Agreed -- Andy (Christa's husband) was fantastic. Probably some self-projection there, but really liked that he had a more active role in this episode. Just watched the premiere of Modern Family and I REALLY enjoyed it. A great mix of humor and sentimentality. Thanks for the recommendation!

Anyone watch the Dollhouse season premiere and/or the unaired final episode from season 1?

Saw the season premiere. Where can I see the unaired?
I admit it has grown on me. It was pretty awful early, but I am a big Buffy/Firefly fan so I stuck with it. I really don't see the plotline having a long lifespan.

Sounds like I have to catch up on this show.
I was looking forward to it because of Joss Whedon. I've liked everything he's done, pretty much. (Yup, I even liked Titan A.E.)
Plus, let's be honest. It had frickin' Eliza Dushku. I mean, Come On! Hell, I even tried to watch that Tru Calling show just because of her.
But I only caught two episodes and kind of wrote it off as really, really bad.
If it got better as you say, I'll try to give it another chance. I'm sure I can catch up on Hulu or something.

Yeah, Eliza was the other draw for me. I own The New Guy on DVD, for cris'sakes.
It's better. It's not can't miss, but the first season was worth watching.

You can view "Epitaph One" (the unaired final episode of season one) on either the DVD or ITunes. In my opinion, it's the best episode of season one, as it takes the whole series in an awesome new direction (just a taste, the episode takes place in 2019). They're supposedly flashing to the future later this season, so it's probably required viewing.
As for Dollhouse itself, here's how you have to view it. Fox executives had their paws in this, so they shifted the episode order around a lot (the pilot is not the original pilot) and basically made Whedon make the first 5 episodes entirely self-contained. So while you get a feel for the premise and characters, it's really just the Eliza Dushku show. Once you get past those 5 episodes and into the plot and other characters, it becomes much, much better.

Fox does that a lot with new shows. They did that to Undeclared and it made it very difficult to follow the ongoing storyline - one minute Stephen had finally managed to get Lizzie, and the next minute she was back with her old boyfriend. That didn't help the show at all. (A shame, too -- it was a fantastic show with a great cast.)

What happened to SNL? They haven't just lost their fastball, they're doing a full Rick Ankiel. Tons of celebrity cameos but no good skits.

SNL was scraping the bottom of the biggest barrel around last night. That sketch with the Norwegians playing Americans. As Seth would say, REALLY? If that's what makes the show, I wonder how bad the stuff that doesn't is.

When there's a porcelain fountain skit sequel as the #3 sketch, you know it's going to be a long night.

I know it's been mentioned, but community is hysterical. Best new comedy right now.
Don't mind glee pretty funny at times, it knows it's campy so that's what makes it ok.

Modern Family and Cougartown got picked up for a full season. And somehow The Middle did too.

V - This series may eventually be worthy of its own thread but considering that it's only about a month away now, I figured now would be a good time for the trailer for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
