We're definitely interested. Jessie is one of my favorite Hoyas. We call him "Onions" because of his proclivity for stepping up in crunch time. I don't follow. Onions have a proclivity for stepping up at crunch time?

It could be a euphemism for large body parts as well.

Jessie will always be one of my favs. I hope he works his way back to the US and the NBA. You never know. Onions are what is needed in the NBA and he has them.

Foxpro - Thanks for the updates. The addition of Jessie to the Rocks adds a third item to my list of favorite Scottish items, joining golf and haggis.
Upon reflection, you can strike haggis from the list.

Ah, the beauty of cultural/lingustic differences. Imagine that first sentence as the lead-in for a WaPo article ...

You are correct, the ommission of scotch was a serious error for which I beg forgiveness. On the other hand, perhaps the scotch was not omitted, thereby leading to the serious error.

I wonder when we'll have our first post-graduation "the system held Jessie back" argument.

Rocks played away to Milton Keynes Lions tonight. At half time, Rocks were losing by around 8 points. Again, Jessie had a quiet start. However, the second half was a different story. My source says that Sapp was killing them Final Score: Lions 78 Rocks 96 I'm really chuffed with that result. Absolutely fantastic. We have another away game tomorrow, so we'll see how Jessie deals with two games in two days. At some point, a report will appear here: www.bbl1.moonfruit.com/

I'm really chuffed with that result. I have no idea what this means, but I'm going to start using it immediately.

He he. The first two definitions will do fine Game report is here: www.bbl1.moonfruit.com/#/0210-mk-v-gr/4535867287Rob Yanders was the top scorer for the game - he's my favourite Rocks player and (in my opinion) the best PG in the league. He and Jessie make a great team. Also good to see Steve Parillon of the British Virgin Islands scoring so well.

Great to hear foxpro. Saw that Jessie and two other guys played all 40 minutes, so good luck beefing up the roster Hi, I forgot to reply to this... We are a player down, but when we sign someone it won't be a guard. We had a centre signed, but he had some family problems and had to return to Lithuania indefinitely. Any signing will be to replace him. For the high profile games, Rob Yanders (PG) and Jessie Sapp (SG) will always play the full 40 minutes. For variety, they may swap positions. Rob has been doing that for years without any problems - it looks like Jessie can handle it without any problems. In fact, Jessie so far has played a quiet full first half and then exploded in the second half despite never getting a rest on the bench. For weaker teams, we have other guards that we can put onto the court when we have a good lead. This hurt us last season - we had a great shooting guard, but he damaged his achilles tendon which took him out for the season. Unfortunately, we have a deadline for signing new players and this injury coincided with the deadline. We failed to sign a new shooting guard on time and went from a team which had a great record to a team with, at the end of the season, an 11 game run of losses. It's really down to finance - we tend to play with a small team of quality players. Other teams might have a full squad of 12 players, but each individual player won't have the same ability as our individual starting 5.
