Nothing new: Duke, North Carolina, UCLA, Georgetown, Rutgers, St. John's and Arizona.
Says he has taken unofficials to Gtown, UNC and UCLA.

Wishing this young man a speedy recovery. Some school will get a quality student/athlete. I would like for it to be Georgetown. He has the skills to help make any program better.

Hard to imagine Duke and UNC will be there for him coming off a severe knee injury and not having played a senior season (if it indeed is severe).
Would leave Hoyas along with Arizona, UCLA, Rutgers, and St. John's. In a purely selfish way, the injury might not be bad news for Georgetown. Wish the kid the best in his recovery.

very tough break. Wish him the best. Still don't see any way he ends up a Hoya -- not because of us.

Insider rumor on ESPN is that he's going to pick Duke. Wonder if the offer is still there after the injury...

ZagsBlog saying he'll be out for 3 months, so Cook should be back for a good part of the season.

@adamzagoria
Quinn Cook says Georgetown and Rutgers both out of the mix.
Why it took this long to just say it, I have no idea.

no, not tied to Adams. As soon as Duke realized Kyrie was one and done and offered Quinn, this was a done deal.

Ranch, it's a nice class, but hardly unbelievable. Kentucky has inked #1, #2, #5, #19 in the class, to begin with.
What is amazing to me is that K somehow sold Cook with Rivers coming in the same class, the chance that Irving doesn't bounce, a sophomore Tyler Thornton, etc.
You constantly comment over how our commits are going to affect recruits playing other positions in other classes -- K has pulled in 4 quality PGs in 2 back-to-back classes.
Edit: I also forgot Curry the younger. Is Quinn just not planning on playing for a couple of years?

So do we want Tyler Thornton as a transfer after this year or no? Dukes backcourt this year will be Irving, Nolan Smith, Dawkins, Curry. Next year they will lose Irving and Smith but Rivers and Cook will come on. Tough to see Thornton ever seeing the floor. I think we ought to be able to find a better point guard in 2012 though, so I'd pass even though we liked him first time around.

I don't know why people assume that a Cook commitment means Tyler Thornton will never play. Thornton is a damn good player and Cook - while talented in his own right - is coming off a knee injury and will be a year behind Thornton.
K has never played to people's reputations, especially in the backcourt. The man started Wojo over Will Avery and was the last person alive - even including other coaches on his staff - that thought starting Paulus over Nolan was a good idea.
Quinn is talented, but him going to Duke doesn't automatically mean anything for Tyler.

If Quinn doesn't take Tyler's minutes someone else will.
