I think most are well aware, which is why it is all the more frustrating that he cannot or will not make coherent contributions to the board. I don't come here to "go to war," or even to participate in some kind of online pep rally. I prefer to have an interesting and thoughtful discussion on my favorite team, and lic does nothing to improve that discussion while managing to post more often than anyone else. Blasphemer! Everyone knows SFHoya posts more often than anyone else. How dare you, sir. How dare you. Why do I suddennly have the voice of Ben Afleck (playing Keith Olbermann on SNL) rattling in my head when I read "How dare you, sir. How dare you!"--AdminADMIN... good citation. IMHO, it was the best thing Affleck's done in quite a while. He was really great at it. Almost as far over the top as Olberman is himself! |

People may complain about this or that about Lic's posts, but on balance? Lic adds a lot to this board. And it's almost all positive. Maybe not terribly substantive, but really, so what.

LIC adds nothing to the Board except unintelligible ramblings. I don't search for enthusiasm via the world wide web, I search for information and easy targets for mockery (cough, hoyaeighties, cough). When I come on this Board, I am peppered with repetitive and incoherent posts all essentially saying the same thing...nothing.
As someone else mentioned, if he wanted to do his little schtick once or twice a day, I could probably handle it, but when LIC goes on his strafing runs across ALL threads on the front page, it is kind of hard to "avoid" or "ignore" his posts. And my disdain for his posting style and volume is completely separate from my respect for him as a Hoya. If people can't understand this clear line of demarcation then I suggest hooked on phonics.

Can we still bash the Lic bashers? I got bumped off line earlier and lost a nice post I had written for jack thanking him for reminding me that one GU degree does not make a person nice. Maybe it takes 4 degrees to learn that senselessly bashing your allies is not smart or "thoughtful and interesting."
OK, I will stop now.

This is patently false: Lic is the only one out there consistently posting women's basketball results. ***The description for the Hoyatalk board reads, "Since 1996, the home for discussions of GU Basketball." with no mention of only men's basketball and therefor and retort of "but he puts them on the wrong board" are moot |

I happen to enjoy Lic's posts greatly as an escape from reality, English grammar, punctuation, 11th grade typing class and logic. He makes the rest of us look good by comparison. Please note that every post clearly lists the author before you open it. If you don't like Lic's posts, DON"T OPEN THEM. You won't know what you're missing.
