Please stop starting these redundant and useless threads. No one is responding and they only serve to push other threads off of the first page at a time when the board is busy.

Please stop starting these redundant and useless threads. No one is responding and they only serve to push other threads off of the first page at a time when the board is busy. I don't really get this post. What was so offensive about a post regarding the big east? It seems pertinent to discuss the fact that Syracuse seems to be better than expected, UConn is as good as expected, Louisville is playing worse as is Notre Dame, and that the Big East as a whole is quite good but losing some games that they should win. It affects our team in many ways, most especially our strength of schedule, rpi, and perceived strength of our conference, which will affect the number of teams going to the NCAA tourney out of the Big East. We'd all like to believe that we will easily be in the NCAA tourney out and be in the top 5 of the Big East, but a few bad breaks and we are #8 or 9 in the Big East and having to worry about these things. It sure seems as viable a thread as trying to predict the score of our next game (which I really enjoy, btw). You may not like lic-ese, but I don't understand why this is redundant or useless.

Lic can start any threads he wants. Until I looked at this thread, I didn't know Seton Hall lost to IUPUI. That matters because even though the Hall is the bottom of our conference, we still play them.

That matters because even though the Hall is the bottom of our conference, we still play them. I think the point was that there already was a thread dedicated to games of interest. I get annoyed by Lic and try to ignore his posts, but after I read the comments I took a look and this one almost made sense. Baby steps

Just returned from Memphis. Syracuse wins in a thriller. Great game between two very athletic teams. Syracuse will return to where they belong, NCAA tournament. Calipari and Tigers have united the entire city behind the Tigers. The excitement level exceeds that of the early 80's.....Great day for the Big East. Can't wait for my Hoyas and UConn Tuesday.....Go Hoyas! Go Big East!

I actually wouldn't have minded seeing Memphis win given we just beat them. I am defintely happy UCON won and that next week we have a chance to take down the #2 team in the country.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with this thread. Yes, Lic is inscrutable at times, but this topic is certainly important.

On the topic of so-called clutter, I can't stand the consolidated mega-threads. I wish we sub-threads like this one.

I don't know why Lic bothers so many people, hes a true fan and supporter of the program and enjoys posting on HoyaTalk.
His posts may not always be easy to read, but if you got a Georgetown degree I have faith you can figure it out, and if don't want to take the time or trouble no one is forcing you. Just skip it.
In terms of topics on the main board, the bottom topics usually haven't been posted to in a few days anyway and if you are really that upset that they fall off the main page, click page 2, post to them and just like that they are back on the main page again, its almost like magic.

Oh, it's fine. This happens about 5-6 times per year. It lasts for a few days and everyone moves on. Very cathartic.
It's the Bi-Monthly Bicker About Lichoya Haters Convention.
Or, as it's known in the biz: BI-MON-BIC-LIC-HAT-CON!!
(This month featuring a fight to the death between the cool robots from Battlestar Galactica and the gay robots from Star Wars). ;D
I'm sure lic leads a fulfilling and complete life, regardless of Hoyatalkers complaining about his posting style.
The question remains, was this a thread worth starting or not. As an on-topic thread (i.e. - discussing the performance of Big East teams), it may be a bit redundant, so I could go either way on it. As an off-topic thread (i.e. - discussing the legibility of lichoya's posts), well....as I mentioned before, also a bit redundant, but cathartic.
Seeing as how it's Christmas though, we should all be nice to each other, so in the interest of board harmony, I say, send this thread to Long Island University.
