Putting Omar in the zone has really helped us. Both teams aren't really valuing possession as much as they should be. We have stolen a ton of minutes without Monroe on the court, I think that bodes well for us now and later in the season when we may have to do it.

You know, these Tennessee radio announcers are great. The PBP guy is solid, and although the color guy is a homer, his enthusiasm isn't obnoxious; it kind of makes the game more fun.

Anyone got a working stream? I'd even settle for radio at this point... Click on Listen Live: www.wivk.com/

Good, not great half for the Hoyas. Great effort on the boards, though. I liked Chris getting in Prince's face. Let him think about that in the locker room. Gotta keep coming at them the second half. No letdown.

i dont think i remember anyone being as much of a liability as sims is right now Wow, a lot of hating on Sims. Not all frosh can be studs like Monroe. Give the kid time. It does appear the coaches are having him stay on the perimeter a lot -- too much for my liking. I want to see the inside presence Sims showed in the Cap Classic.

ESPN broadcast is showing us with only TOs left? Is that correct? I only remember using 2.

i like the fancy footwork/dribbling by sapp. hope we can keep up the intensity in the 2nd half, but regardless it's a bonus that the young guys are getting some experience in what the announcers have described as a March-like atmosphere on the court.

Did a nice job of competing and fighting on boards and fun game to watch. Henry just needs to settle down--he's got "lost in lights" look about him right now-he made some turnovers based on not executing-but idea was right--which is what you want to see.
Monroe will be big factor this half-need him on court and not to get those ticky tack fouls. Just be strong/solid.
Loved what Omar brought to team and hope him hitting that shot gets his confidence up--nice looking stroke.
How can any Hoya fan NOT love Jessie Sapp-this is his type of game and he is one of my all time favorites--I love the diving on floor/garbage plays that aren't pretty but are winning plays.
Tennessee is a very athletic team--and the do a nice job of coming at you. Great test for Hoyas and just need to keep fighting/competing--and let's see how it ends up. This game is how I expected the team to play--and it shows you--if TEAM gets to the glass--they'll be able to rebound despite not being big. TEAM REBOUNDING is how you do it.
One non-game related note--how does Hubert "GUMMY FROM FLETCH" Davis talk about Monroe's lack of touches when he was in foul trouble and didn't get to play that much? Guys can't get ball when they are on bench in foul trouble Gummy--but then again--Fat Sam and Fletch beside you didn't correct you or notice--so makes me wonder what the hell anyone was watching??? Typical ESPN GARBAGE.

Let's hear it for Vaughn's defense in the first half - he battled down there. Wattad gave us some nice minutes, also.

I am very encouraged watching this half. Yes, too many turnovers, but Tenn. is a good team & forcing those is their speciality. We are rebounding much better, running & shooting very well & forcing a lot of turnovers ourselves. Should be a very exciting second half.
We did use three time outs in the first half.

hey pug does pearl ever play zone? played last half of 1st half without monroe. we did real good. Not often and they never look comfortable. Yes you guys look very good. Neither team is playing smart but you can't critize the effort of either team. I suspect both will be top ten teams by the end of the season. Interesting that neither Monroe or Smith has had much impact. We can't hit FTs and i hope that isn't the difference.
