on Friday on the way into the city, a couple of (extremly tall) kids got on the train at Fordham stop, clearly having come from some sort of basketball camp (based on their convo re drills, etc.). One of them said something to the other about another camp (that implied it was occurring at a later date) and the response was basically "man, I wish I was going to that camp. there will be all kinds of people there. JTIII... Georgetown..."
The awe/hope in the kid's voice when saying Georgetown was priceless. And he did not go on to list other coaches or colleges, just stopped after GU.
While we all get to see the results of the staff's recruiting in the commits they are getting, its still nice to see the level of cache we've regained on this personal level. I have no idea who these kids were or what level of talent they have, but just nice to see the impact of the JTIII and Gtown names.

those werent kids. they were 29 year old sudanese transfer students passing for high school kids. They are actually here to train for the 2012 u-18 Olympics, where the only thing under 18 on the sudanese team is the PG's shoe size (he wears a 17.5).

Also that the kids were getting excited for a college coach to be there, not an NBA scout or an agent

HAAHAH... yes thank you for remaining factually accurate while posting jgalt... Whoya, were the "kids" on the train referring to each other as Tieg and John Riek?

I like that "on the way into the city" obviously means NYC. That takes a little bit of getting used to for those of us from flyover country.

Clearly, you took it to mean what it does, so it appears you are already used to it. Along the lines of the Throw Dribble, I probably should have written The City. And I have no idea if they were 68 year old Sudanese or teenage NYers... though I suspect not the former unless the English lessons in Sudan are AMAZING.

dude, hoyalawyer, I know you are being "sarcastic" and all, but I think you are trying to be funny too and frankly, it just isn't working. I am sitting here stonefaced. So either work on your material, post like a functioning human being, or go the way of the dodo.
Thanks in advance.

Hoyalawyer has been right on quite a few insider info before, so dont count it out that they might be 88 year olds who were still alive during the british occupation

dude, . . . I am sitting here stonefaced. Maybe if you spent less time using words like "dude" and getting "stonefaced" you'd appreciate a little sarcasm. And as far as posting like a functional human being, lichoya is one of my favorite posters on the board and I honestly don't think his delivery is always "functional," Yet no attack from the Brasky Coalition. Honestly Billy-Boy do me a favor and reach up your rectum and pull that giant stick out of your a$$, climb off your high horse, and save the sermon for church. Thanks in advance -Lawyer p.s. Brasky I could care less about your opinion, but that is just my opinion. (we are all entitled to them, u know).
