I don't feel so bad about picking Duke to lose in the second round anymore. Arizona/WVU come out smelling blood

Too bad that the GEORGETOWN court kryptonite did not work tonight - there is always Saturday. Bob Wenzel has apparently spent time apprenticing with Mike Patrick and Dick Vitale. USC spit the bit big time. Didn't see that one coming. You forgot the "Floyd is the coach" factor. That guy is the complete opposite of Pete Carroll in terms of getting a team ready to play. You're right - what was I thinking? Remember how good the Bulls were?

They seemed to do OK against Kevin Durant and Texas last year...

Damn, Belmont. I wouldn't have minded seeing my pool blown for that one. And it's games like this that should kill any complacency we might be feeling in playing a 15 seed.
I guess I also don't mind seeing my pool blown by a USC loss. Eat that, Trojans. Looks like KSU totally owned the boards.

For some reason I imagine that JTIII will be watching the replay of that game on a tiny tv at midnight with bells sounding in the distance...

They seemed to do OK against Kevin Durant and Texas last year... This is true. I really think K State grew as a team this year and actually were listening to their coach. K st is a lot different from the team that lost to George Mason in that tourney way back in December. USC on the other hand always seemed to be disjointed this year.

K State always looked awesome at home, but when they played on the road they usually fell apart. I guess Omaha felt a lot like Kansas to them.

Glad ND-Mason will be on our TV even if this turns into the blow out it looks like it's gonna be.
Cal St. Fullerton-Wisc and Arizona-WVU both look a lot more competitive.

Yup. Looks like I'll be watching games tonight on my 13-inch computer monitor instead of my 42-inch plasma TV. Grrrr.

So are people here rooting for Cal St. Fullerton and then thinking we'll take our chances with Beasley if we are so lucky to make it through the first two rounds. Or do we not care about the polar bears from Wiscy?

I'd rather face K-State than Wisconsin. If we play Wisconsin we'll have to watch a Wisconsin game.

Go Ray reed represent! take out Wisc. USC was the team that scared me the most after kansas so i'm glad to see them out of the way even though it screwed up my bracket. seeing wisconsin go down would be great. we just need UNLV take down kasnas.

Duke-Belmont game was a lot of fun. Belmont travels real well. Helped them, I am sure, that WVU, 'Zona, and all other fans in the arena were cheering them on. Duke fans were quite all night. As a team, Belmont is like a slo-mo version of the Hoyas.
Verizon Center was like the Bizarro Center tonight. No advertisements anywhere, no banners from the rafters, and totally different food options (carving stations??? cheesecake??? really???). It was so weird.
Good moment when a Duke fan behind us asked, annoyedly, "oh man, who is this announcer and do you have to deal with him for every game?" We politely said, "Oh, you mean Father McFadden?" She quickly changed her attitude after that!

I'm not looking past anyone--and tomorrow starts with MBC--and if we win that--you get ready for the next one. When you start worrying about "I'd rather play...." you end up saying--"damn that INSERT TEAM vs KSU-Wisconsin winner" game should've been us.
1 game at a time and someone in top 4 seeds is going down tomorrow--rarely does a tournament hold form for 2 straight days. Just hope it's not the Hoyas.

I'd rather play UCLA than Memphis personally, nice to see them look good tonight.
