BET Matchups (Wednesday) 8 Villanova vs. 9 Syracuse, Noon EST 5 WVU vs. 12 Providence, 2pm EST 7 Pitt vs. 10 Cincy, 7pm EST 6 Marquette vs. 11 Seton Hall, 9pm EST The 9:00 game is always good for an upset. Marquette has dropped two in a row in conference and Gonzalez is still red-faced over losing late to Rutgers. This one has a last minute finish written all over it.

I went to the Seton Hall game today. They don't play a lick of defense, and Eugene Harvey has completely lost his confidence and the confisence of the team. I think Marquette wins by 20. I think the upset is at 2pm.

Louisville won't be crazy about seeing a Pitt team they beat by 2. ND and Marquette? The same Marquette that beat them by 26? UConn gets Huggins or a Providence team that swept them? That's a nice observation GIGA, except that the Hoyas are the one seed. We're SUPPOSED to have an easier road--at least to some small degree. Instead we have to face one of two archrivals against whom we went 2-1 this year but in the aggregate gave up more points than we scored.

MU will be facing the conventional wisdom that its always tough to beat a team three times in one season. Seton Hall has taught that lesson before: anybody care to reminisce about the 2001 BET?

The ad on the top of the page says "Free Lethal Injections". I believe this is a direct result of Big Dog's question.

Fair enough but our advantage is that two not very deep teams fighting for their tournament lives will beat each other up for 40 minutes. So yeah we've played close games against these two but they'll be working on no days rest and are the least equipped to do so. I actually think the #1 seed is a blessing and a curse. The upside of 2, 3, or 4 is higher if there's an upset.
