This can either be the best thing for admissions since the last time we made the Final Four .... or not.
(Thanks to RosslynHoya for pointing this out).

I'll take it, anyone see Martin Lawrence around the hiltop?
Although with the new season of 24 being filmed around campus that might just be better, especially if they resurect famous Georgetown basketball alumn President David Palmer

Ahhh, the taser. Now becoming a staple of physical comedy for unoriginal writers everywhere. (Honeymoon in Vegas also being liberally ripped off here, I see, among countless others I am sure).

I wonder which Georgetown sorority she's staying at. Way to do your research, Hollywood.

Frankly, I think it could be a fun movie. Personally, I can't hear "I want to go to Georgetown" enough times.

Well if they are going to do the taser bit at least they can be authentic Georgetown and have Martin get tased by MPD for an open container violation. Another authentic Georgetown slapstick would be for Martin to get attacked by several dozen black squirrels, or maybe he can get runover by a GUTS bs.

I love my fair share of horrible, cheesy, chiche movies, but the only good part of that movie looks to be the "Georgetown part"....

The last movie that mentioned Georgetown prominently (hehe...prominent) was Girl Next Door. Not only did the movie blow, but those were NOT the Georgetown gates he drove through at the end. I can only expect that this movie will meet or exceed that level of crappiness.

This really sucks for Taft, I can imagine the conversation their administration had with the Disney Executives
"We are doing a family comedy based around the college application and selection process and we think that you campus has everything we are looking for and we would like to film on it"
"That's great, will we be mentioned prominently?"
"Not at all, we are actually going to pretend that your school is Georgetown because your dinky ass school doesn't have a high profile and Georgetown is the hot name in college admissions"
That said, this sucks for us because now we are going to be associated with Taft

Must take umbrage about the Girl Next Door comment. Sure, they didn't film at Georgetown, but GU was mentioned several times in the movie in a positive way. Plus, that movie rocked!

i agree with socal, was it a brilliant movie? of course not. Did it have an extremely hot girl in it and give some free publicity to georgetown. Hell yes!

Elisha Cuthbert is just not fair.
It is physically impossible to even look away.

So this movie has a very talented African-American student repeating over and over again: “My dream is to go to Georgetown.”
Something tells me this won’t be a popular movie on the College Park campus.

Elisha Cuthbert is just not fair. It is physically impossible to even look away. Yup. It's a risky business knockoff but I definitely own it on DVD.
