Enjoy all the middle eastern food you can in DC, for it is very hard to find elsewhere. I'm looking squarely at you Boston and San Francisco...you both disappoint me on that front. No fast food, only restaurants. And for some reason whenever I go to a nicer middle eastern place, they get angry if I ask for french fries in my pita.

I'm so Editeded I missed the Potbelly's "debate." Under the better late than never heading, here goes:
Save their shakes, Potbelly's is a terrible establishment with extremely disappointing food.
I'm not sure if anyone else remembers it, but there used to be a place in WG's Ivory Tower (which, by the way, could use its own rant thread--seriously? Ivory Tower??) called Coggins. Basically it was exactly the same as Potbelly's except the food was delicious. It was as if they started their restaurant because they knew how to make delicious sandwiches--as opposed to starting their restaurant because they had lots of old tacky metal signs in their garage.
A couple years ago, Potbelly's sued Coggins and put them out of business. Not surprisingly, Potbelly's occupied the space, made virtually no changes to the interior, and set up shop selling a virtually identical--and undeliably inferior--product. The change was drastic--along the lines of a downgrade from Chick Fil-a to Popeyes.
I have sworn a bloodless oath to never eat at Potbelly's again in my life. May they be the victim of a massive corporate scandal in the near future.

I concur wholeheartedly with your sentiment.

The other main attraction for Booey's is the opportunity to use fake names when you order, which the gentlemen at the counter are obligated to repeat when your order is done. "Batman, your Chicken Rico is ready!" This also works at Wiseys. Senior year, my entire apartment was named Phil (mostly so we didn't have to have the, "when I was in class at Walsh and you called it in, did you put it under my name or yours" conversation).

I had Potbelly's once. Seemed to me like a smaller, slightly better ingrediented version of a Subway sub. Comparisons should be made there, and with Quizno's and [insert national chain here].
I wasn't the world's biggest Booey's fan, but they crush Potbelly's any day of the week. Either way...
...BLACKIE'S FAVORITE FOREVER!!!

No matter what your favorite Wisey's sub (mine is the Peggy's Special ... mmmm) I think we can all agree that a Wisey's sub is superior to any other sub availble in the DC metro area*
*I specified DC metro to avoid argument, 'cause I know there's somebody out there who thinks their local sub is better, and is obviously delusional because Wisey's is the best sub in the world!!!
