Posting now for bumpage. I think Dan might have done us a favor by moving this thread, as now it will be very hard for it to leave the first page of this board. However, we should never, ever, let it slip below the top of this board.

Posting now to honor Bando's request above.
Do any board historians know the record for most posts on a topic? thebin and others must've had something at least this long at one point (using only the subject line, of course).

Did the halftime show at our game include clogging? I bet it would have been a smash hit if it had included clogging. Everyone loves clogging.

;D ;D ;D Only adding to this thread because the rumor that its LIFE is connected to our chances in the DANCE has triggered my superstitious tendencies. Here's an interesting twist to clogging. A razzle dazzle group that clogs to DISCO music! www.galenastreeteast.org/images/GSEPubPhotos05-06/Clogging%20Disco%201.jpgBrings back tooooooo many half-lost memories of DC's old Club Zanzibar. Maybe it'll inspire YB to think up a new half-time routine for next season?

Clogging? It's my biggest weakness. Outside of my love of Satan. Long live the D. Since we're throwing around ideas, how bout a Michael Flatley Lord of the Dance type routine? Or a Fantasia-style laser show, except instead of Mickey Mouse directing it, Jack the Bulldog? Actually, in all seriousness, I'd be fine with the old fashioned two youth basketball teams playing each other, those are always fun and help build the local fan base. We haven't seen one of those in a while. Although I must admit, my fingers are perpetually crossed for an eventual Nodak89 pregame or halftime concert. Oh, how much ass would that kick.

For any South Park fans, how about Laser Kenny Loggins?
(Brought to you by the local Plane'arium, of course).

How about Nodak's music artistically interpreted through dance? YB? Any takes?

The other day I over heard that the Charle Daniels Band is coming to town soon. They were talking and one guy asked the other do you know any other songs other then "The Devil Went Down to Gerogia". He said no and hoped they justed played that song three times. Does anyone else know of any other songs by Charle Daniels?

They had a minor hit with some pro-war song during the seventies. After that, yeah, I don't know of anything else they do. They might have done a version of "Ghost Riders in the Sky", but I may be thinking of the Blues Brothers.

From now on, one hit wonders can only play their hit 5 times and then one or two other songs. The public doesn't care about good music, the public only wants what is popular

Mic higan, you could always just get up there and sing Dennis Leary's "I'm an A$$hole".
Somehow, I think it would suit you just fine.

My personal favorite is The South's Gonna Do It Again, but I would imagine that was a regional favorite not quite as popular as DWDTG.
Bump!

Uneasy Rider is where it's at.
That line about "long-haired commie type pinko" is songwriting at its best.

CDB also had a pretty recent song after 9/11, but I can't remember the name. It was in the same vein as a lot of the country songs released around then, patriotic type.
Hopefully this post puts us into the 15 page mark, we have got to keep the train running into the NCAA's

Clogging? It's my biggest weakness. Outside of my love of Satan. OK, California boy from Mountain View .... NOW you've got me worried. In spite of your endorsement as the rising "protege" of a certain NevadaHoya. Is this Satanic worship cult something you learned out there in the Silicon Valley? As the parent of a h.s. senior who has now seen fit to leave the "lovely winter weather" of NJ (or anywhere else in the Northeast) to head to SCU, your remark is now triggering CONCERN. YB is protective of "his dancers" ... Suz is protective of the cultural slide of her unborn child at being exposed to the Devil goin' down to Georgia ... Harbin is concerned about under-aged bodacious beauties getting ogled on websites ... and NOW THIS. Et tu, CaHoya07? PLEASE assure me that Satan and his minions are brought to a quick HALT just outside the stucco gates of the Mission Campus by the Jesuitical forces "within" ...
