At least the local paper here mentioned that the two rookies, KD and Jeff, were the leading scorers for the Sonics.

Monitoring it on Gamecast. Every sec there's something good he's doing. 10 pts, at least 2 steals, and 3 boards in 10 mins. Amazing.
EDIT - Sonics still getting killed tho. Rest of the team bites.

Durant is playing like he has already hit the rookie wall. He is shooting 29% his last 4 games. Jeff is getting stronger.

Jeff has 12 at half on 5 of 9 shooting and 4 boards. I'm really impressed with the regularity with which Jeff is getting to the line. Last game he was 7 of 7 and already he's 2 of 3 in this game. I don't remember him getting to the line so much at Gtown. That is a huge boon to him and will help him in being a consistent scorer. Also love all the little things he does. It's interesting to see the difference in Jeff's style compared to Durant's--I have to think coaching played a big factor in there.

I love that Jeff is continually the best player on the court for his team, yet finds himself on the bench to begin the second half. YOOOOOOOOOUR SEATTLE/OK CITY SONICS! (0-8)

Ah the sonic fans are starting to see the light and repent. From their talkboard/blog:
"lox Says:
November 13th, 2007 at 6:29 pm I’m ready to come clean now, I was one of those busting on JG pretty hard a couple weeks ago. While some of the weaknesses I pointed out still hold (no perimeter game, smaller than advertised), I completely underestimated some of the strengths he’s started to show the last couple games.
For one, he has one of the more refined post games I’ve seen from a rookie for a long time. He just has a great feel with his back to the basket and has shown the abilility to make tough shots over bigger defenders. He’s MUCH stronger than he looks too. For him to be able to repeatedly post up a veteran like Rashard, who has a couple inches on him says a lot.
Anyway, I could go on and on about him, but the game’s coming back on…I’ll just say next time I’ll think a lot harder before criticising anything Presti does. The guys an absolute magician. "

Can the Sonics just draft Roy now and get it over with?
The Sonics are terrible. They have exactly what it takes to make the reunion happen.

Yea, then they can trade Wilcox for a second round pick and take Wallace!

While no college team can compete on the pro-level, I'd take a core of Jeff, Roy, and Jon any day at any level of any sport (except if Roy is pitching). Talk about humble kids who can stay focused and word to be great. Granted, Jon is the stretch in this, but I'd love to see Jeff and Roy together.

durants problem is that he is the focus of the defense every night and he hasnt adjusted to it yet. jeff and most other rookies have that luxury of not being the main focus every night. kid is 19 and seeing double teams in the pros... he'll be fine

See that would be a nice reunion and all - but I would much prefer the Wizards to pick up Roy. Then I could actually watch his games. I hate that I'll get to see Jeff play maybe a handful of games this year.
The Sonics are pathetic - I wish they played Jeff more though. More experience more stats...possible ROY.

From ESPN.com:
"Rookie Jeff Green added 12 points, all in the second quarter, on an impressive array of jumpers, drives and even a 10-foot hook.
'I'm pleased with both our guys,' Seattle coach P.J. Carlesimo said of the rookies. 'Obviously tonight Jeff was better. Both of our guys are coming along. It's a fair question, but they're eight games in. It's such a learning process it's incredible.'
Green's put-back dunk three minutes into the second quarter drew Seattle to 29-23, but the SuperSonics would get no closer."

I'd kind of like to know what the "fair question" is. Not the best reporting.

At 0-8, it looks like PJ is going through a learning curve himself.

Reading that Seattle Times article, I just don't get it. I am still scratching my head as to what PJ was trying to say there. I mean, I was willing to cut PJ some slack as he sorted through the glut of forwards and evaluated them all. Of course, I am a homer for Jeff, but enough is enough. Give the man the man the PT, since he is one of the few making a difference when he is on the court.
