This would be perfect for this year. It would give the players the chance to play in a healthy environment. The spotlight wouldn't shine that bright which would be good for a new group like this and we can build out with some real life experience for 21.

Jordan Hawkins getting crystal balls to UCONN. I hope in the future we get these local kids. Never really felt the focus from the staff on him so hopefully we like what we got in Billingsley over him.

Feels good to have a kid in July too. Hope some other dominoes fall soon and we are trending up.

Whatever interest Mohammed has in coming to GU isn't going to be shaken by the backcourt we've got lined up for next year, Riley and another PG included. Mohammed is the type of prospect who is absolutely a take anywhere he wants regardless of who you already have in the class. Day 1 starter, one-done type talent. Isn't he also the type of recruit that could go the G league route? I think that adds some serious hedging to his recruiting so you need to have depth if you are recruiting a kid of his caliber & ranking (know nothing about his desired path).

Ummmm, let's see. The good thing is we won't have many scouting reports against us since we are almost all new. We will need Jamorko to get 20+ and for Q to do the same without fouling. We also need a COVID vaccine or this season isn't happening so maybe this gap year helps the team as a whole develop. Too many question marks to even form an opinion in my opinion.

Seems shortsighted. What may be active states now may not be in November and vice versa. See where New York was four months ago and where it is now. I agree with this but I think it's also reasonable to assume that Florida will continue to lead the nation in bad decisions. I would stay clear of Florida and the Dallas-Fort Worth area

I dunno. His frame has been more Josh LeBlanc than Joey Dorsey, so he's going to have to have a decent level of skill to help us out on defense and the boards. But the age thing is definitely not insignificant. It's always underrated to be able to have 21/22 year olds playing against 17/18 year olds, he could certainly come back this year with an extra 10 pounds on him as he continues to fill out. We're gonna need a physical presence from time to time apart from our 5s, so hopefully he's up to the challenge. If Bile can be a poor man's Josh L... and Jamorko can step up his offensive game (i.e. increase the existing upward trajectory)... and Q improves as hoped/expected... that's probably a top half of the conference frontcourt. A lot of ifs, but not outlandish. Now about the guards... Anyone expecting Bile to be a poor man's Leblanc or a legitimate 4 is going to be disappointed. I do agree having old guys is the key to winning in college basketball. Especially in a shortened season.

UConn will not lose one guard to graduation after the season, so there is no glaring hole the Huskies will have to fill. Then again, if James Bouknight has a breakout season, chances are that the rising sophomore could jump to the NBA and leave a hole in the backcourt. It is for those reasons that the Huskies have invested plenty of time with some of the very best in the 2021 class and while the miss on El Ellis last week hurt some, all is not lost in Storrs. Dan Hurley and his staff sit in a very good spot with a bevy of the best guards and wings along the east coast including Rahsool Diggins, Trevor Keels, Jordan Riley, Jaylen Blakes, Jordan Hawkins, Quincy Allen and Jakai Robinson. It seems that a bigger shot-maker is the route they would like to take, which leads them to the DMV area. Diggins and Keels may be tough, while the higher academics have intrigued Blakes, but Hawkins, Allen and Robinson are three that the Huskies could have some traction with. Keep an eye on Robinson, and while Clemson and Seton Hall are also heavily involved, the Huskies should be monitored. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/twitter-tuesday-chet-holmgren-alex-tchikou-georgia-techHigher academics? At UConn? B**ch please!

I would love Braswell & Freeman to have a sit down with coach about what they see from other coaches. What are the best pitches? What things are unique? To stand out, it helps knowing what others are pitching. Austin should get to see a lot of that in his current role.

Does this warrant a post? Seeing our '21 recruit in a Fresh Prince of Bel Air look doesn't exactly strike me as news or useful information. And yes, I am a jerk!

Maybe Cisse comes by the same logic that if there isn't going to be basketball this year, why not learn from one of the best bigs to ever do it while getting a great education (for six months)? I can see that making sense too.

We might just need to get ready for a round robin with AU, Mason, Howard, UMD, UMBC, TOWSON, Morgan ST., Mt. St. Mary, MD Eastern Shore, and GW. I think we could easily be top 2 in this regional league for '20/'21.

If the season doesn't happen, I could see us benefiting more then most. We presumably would only lose the grad transfers and you would have another young class coming in '21. Most of the top teams will see a shuffling of the deck with players leaving early and some of those bigger name recruits may not want to go to a program that had a top '20 class as those kids may still be there in '21. We would have a path for kids to early time and a year to learn. I'm grasping at straws here but what the hell.

WE definitely make the top 7. We always do. Unfortunately the top 1 is all that matters.

One thought would be to move all non-intentional contact sports (baseball, volleyball, gymnastics, etc.) to the Fall if they aren't already fall sports and push every intentional-contact (football, basketball, wrestling, soccer) to the Spring. It would involve moving mountains and you still will have transmission of the virus but you would need to trace & contain as much as possible. I think there is some validity to DFW's original point of how long are you going to wait? We all are keeping our fingers crossed for Jan/February when the timeline very well could be Fall of '21. Very few of these kids are high risk and those that are I don't think I would be on a campus in the fall (regardless of whether I was a student or a student/athlete). We are in weird times but I really hope in class instruction starts in the Fall in some capacity as it is very important for the kids education. You are learning from your peers as much as you are the professors.

This is the kid I want in this class! Loved watching him in the WCAC championship and think he will be a monster. He is small, quick, and likely a four year player unless he grows a bunch. He took it right to the chin of Dickinson with no problem. Get me this kid!

Man, from following the twitter feeds maybe we should just list players we didn't offer in the '22 class?
