Maybe its just the total respect I have for Alonzo, but I feel like his boy is going to be a very solid college player by next year. As I have stated before, he is the best and most instinctive passer on this team (subject to PW returning), seems to have great form on his shot and can handle the ball well for a guy his size. I think he is getting better both on defense and on the glass. To me the bright side of Bradley's unfortunate injury, is that Tre can get some much needed minutes, especially since this season is basically over, in terms of meeting any expectations. Hope to see continued progress against Seton Hall.

Tre is a true PG, but for some unknown reason he plays as the 2G when in there with DSR. DSR brings up the ball and Tre runs down the floor to the wing. After defensive rebounds, they "outlet" to DSR, not Tre. We get less easy baskets in transition than anyone. The one game this season when they looked for Tre and gave him outlet passes was against Xavier. He pushed the ball, scored a lot and set up good plays. To me, playing Tre at the 2 is as big a problem for us as fouling and defense. At the very minimum, when we find ourselves in a classic Hoyas scoring drought, we should look to push the ball with Tre in transition to get us out of it. I hope you are right that "Tre is a true PG." Because after two years, he looks like a point guard, moves like a point guard....but just is NOT a point guard to my eyes. The reason is that as fast as he is coast to coast he always stops before going down the lane to create something. He shoots or pulls it out to pass around. I keep waiting for him to go John Wall and drive the lane to score or dish...but if you have seen that ...I have not. And I seriously doubt JT3 tells him not to do these essential things . Now, that being said...he has the physical tools to be a PG..so there is always a chance at improvement.

Solid game by Mourning. Any chance we see him play a bit more at the 5? I think rebounding was hurt without Hayes in there - maybe he gets some of those rebounds end of game, but maybe Mourning can space offense a bit at times. I know he is a center and doesn't play much. But , honestly, he may be the best passer on this team.

Man I just looked at our schedule and it is imperative that we win the next 4. They are all winnable games and 3 are in DC. I know X is tough and Quette is improved but we should win those games if we play D...........These games are must wins if we want any chance of the tourney......... Love your optimism. I am watching because I am a Hoya, with ZERO expectation of making the Dance. Honestly not do even think there is a 1 pct chance. Also hoping to see good things, as I did today from Marcus, LittleZo and Govan.

I still wouldn't be surprised by a strong finish to this season. I think we will win 4 more games but just eventually run out of gas. We still haven't lost games in this stretch we really should have won. Yes, we needed them and could have had them, but it doesn't mean we couldn't beat the other teams left to play. Do you mean in the Big East or the entire season. I hope you were not expecting to lose to Radford, Monmouth and UNC something or other.

SS...I only mentioned the prior game, because I yelled at the tv a couple of times when we fouled intentionally.."Dont foul Bentil". But, let me say this, at my age, I can remember things completely wrong!

The question is, in those two time-out huddles, did someone say: we're out of time-outs, so whatever happens the rest of the way, do not foul Bentil? I'm guessing it was said but Mourning and Derrickson got confused as to whose responsibility it was to cover Bentil on the inbound. Inexperience? Perhaps? You would hope. However, I recall we fouled Bentil repeatedly down the stretch in the first game as well..and he made a ton of FT's. We are all just guessing..I am gonna guess they were NOT told to avoid Bentil, unless the players forgot in BOTH games.

I may be wrong, but it seems to be we very rarely, if ever, do anything creative on the final shot of a game. Its always just hand the ball to DSR, or whoever our top scorer is that year and hope he makes a heroic effort. I've seen other teams change it up, drive and dish or simply do as Yabo suggested...pass to the screener, who is ALWAYS open...at least for a second. DSR is not an athletic guy who can just elevate over a couple guys and shoot a three (actually sounds like I'm describing Ike..not that he would have made it.) It's formally known as the Braswell option. LOVE IT!! Btw, that is a name from the past that seems to be ignored when we look back, along with Sweetney. Guess cuz it was part of the Esh regime. Braswell had some amazing offensive effots.

He got a reasonable look. Bullock just made a good defensive play. Given the time and game situation, I can't blame DSR for taking that shot DSR can't get shots off against taller players. It was actually a very poor choice. I may be wrong, but it seems to be we very rarely, if ever, do anything creative on the final shot of a game. Since everyone on PC knew DSR would take that last shot..why not have him penetrate a little bit and hit someone unexpected..like Marcus or Mourning? Rather they shoot a somewhat open 3 then DSR, with three men on him. With 10 seconds, we had time to do more than just give it to DSR and let him take a shot with guys all over him. Great showing by Marcus, Mourning and GOvan.

The Hoyas may have won this game going away if it was not for the 26pt deficit You may want to change your name to Captain Obvious

You think the problem is missing shots where I see a problem in the fact that we are settling for 24 threes when we've been much better when we've actually run an offense in the second half. I agree totally. We are a decent three point team, not great. Should have a mix.

We can get this game without exclusively shooting threes...get it inside a bit. We ain't Golden State.

Like to see a few less quick threes.
