This is the deepest draft in years. Next year there is nobody that is a Franchise pick. The incomming HS kids are not pro level this year, so Jeff and Roy would both be top 5 next year. Roy could be number one. They said noah would be the #1 pick if he came back this year, and we all see how that worked out! Snatch the money before they put it back in their pocket, fellas!!!!! Not true. They said Noha was the number one pick if he had gone last year during a weak draft. Everyone knew he would fall this year because the HS kids had to stay one year...

So the reasons we think they are leaving(besides obvious reasons like definite lottery) are: an Andy Katz article says roys likey to come back and green is likely to leave, the conference is schedueled when the campus is empty... is there anything else that im missing, if there isnt, than it really seems like no one knows anything, and that giving ovations to them for their accomplishments is a little premature.

You got it - no one knows. It is all speculation at this point, and the speculation can end tomorrow.
Since the season ended, I have felt that Jeff was a goner and Roy would return. As the post-season has moved on and the rumor mill / draft projections / etc. have been churning, I started to get the feeling that Roy may be a goner too. Right now, I think it is slightly greater than 50% that Roy also leaves.
So, if both leave, it will be pretty much as I expected and I won't be too bummed. If one or both stay, it's all gravy.

Thanks, i just wanted to make sure i wasnt missing anything. I really dont think there is an x% chance roy or green go, they have already made their decisions so there is a 50% chance they will say yes, and a 50% chance they will say no, but (hopefully) it is 100% that they will say the one they have decided upon.

Okay... so all our questions will be answered tomorrow. I am preparing for the worst... but do hold a glimmer of hope. With regard to there being a precedent for players holding a Press Conference just to announce that they are staying... well, IT HAPPENED THIS YEAR.
UCLA's Luc Richard Mbat-a -Moute and Darren Collison held a highly publicized press conference to announce they were staying. Hopefully Roy and Jeff will do the same.

I really think it is Bush League that the press conference will not be carried on either local TV or at least Sportstalk 980. If you want to be big time then you should act big time. Whatever decision Roy and Jeff make should is a momentous occasion for the Hoya Program. If they leave, then potential two Gtown players will go in the Lottery and that will bring good if not great attention to the program each time their respective Teams play on TNT and/or ESPN. If they stay then we will be one of the favorites next season. Either way it is important to send a message to future and past BBall alums that we take care of the Gtown family and maybe just maybe they will return the favor monetarily like Melo has done at the Orange. I really hope they stay so I can get Roy to hold my next kid

I love her. I can go to sleep with a smile on my face and dreams of Big Roy going number 1 in the 2008 draft.

Wow. It should be added that unlike another Washington newspaper, the Post is pretty strict on these 'sources with knowledge of the situation.' If she is printing it, I think its true.
Wow.

I think even if jsut roy comes back we will be the best team in the nation, but having jeff back will secure it. come on jeff come on back and win that national title. graduate with all you're friends. The money will be there next year. college won't be if you leave. sure you can still get a degree but that's not even close to being the same.

Props to Camille for being the first to give the Hoya faithful they've been craving. My gut tends to align with Guru too ... a joint conference for a split decision wouldn't be completely weird, but one to announce both will return would make a lot of sense as a jumping off point for next season.
Am I actually looking forward to 1 p.m. tomorrow now? How'd that happen ...

I really think it is Bush League that the press conference will not be carried on either local TV or at least Sportstalk 980. If you want to be big time then you should act big time. The media outlets that elect to cover the press conference make the decision to air it live or not, not Georgetown. The SID has pitched the press conference to outlets, hence it being on the wires ... not sure what more you expect our folks to do since they don't control the programming for local TV or Sportstalk 980 (of the two I am sure will cover and air their coverage live, since they did it for the JTIII announcement).

I hope Camille is right. My fear is that they're announcing in conjunction with an invite to Orlando for the pre-draft camp.

That is amazing. First off BIG SCOOP for Camille and congrats to her. Also, congrats to Roy. You made the right decision (note: Jeff, this doesn't mean that leaving is the wrong decision). ROYA SAXA!

In addition, I'd just like to point out that SFX Sports Management which David Falk works for has no information about signing Roy or Jeff as of 11:00 tonight.
