I'd bet things are about to get "Wild and Wonderful" for him.

Mike Beasley is a disaster waiting to happen. I'd prefer if he weren't in the Big East (WVU), but I want no part of him. Besides, he's gone to the NBA next year any way. I think our program is moving along fine as it is.

He was great in the McD's. Austin and Beasley looked like pals, joking around and all. I wouldn't mind having him around for a year, a la Michael Graham. He would be the icing on the cake.

If Beasley came to Gtown which number would be higher?
Number of games Beasley would play in or number of classes Beasley would attend?

Thats assuming he can get out of the LOI, which is not a certainty. If he isn't released, then he could sit out for a year but since he will probably be one and done, thats no good. So its up to K-State really, I think he might just end up staying.

So its up to K-State really, I think he might just end up staying. I'm certain that K-State will leave the decision of letting him go up to their new coach. Generally I alwayssay to let the kids out if they want out, because it can set a rotten tone over a program keeping disgruntled players against their wills. Either way, I feel very bad forK-State, because they sure were excited about that program, and they just took a certain kick in the ribs. But when you lay with dogs...

Interesting, the CBS article reported as follows; "Weiser also said he would not consider granting releases to Huggins' recruiting class -- considered one of the nation's best with 6-foot-9 Michael Beasley -- until a new coach has been hired."
Which seemed to imply the recruits were still obliged for now, and they would make a final decision after a new coach is determined. I wonder which is it?

I've had a conversation with him and he's nuts. Not a humble bone in his body. He won't make it to January no matter WHERE he goes. He definitely wouldn't fit in at Georgetown.
Being responsible, going to class, and being part of a team are not his strong points.
He'd be much better served signing a one-year contract overseas. He's not made for school AT ALL.

I really get sick of all these people with these negative comments and Beasley and they don't even know him. I've known the kid for about 5 or 6 years now and I swear he may be the most misunderstood, most scrutinized kid ever. He is not a bad kid...at all. He's a little quirky but so are alot of guys. He's not out here getting pulled over in cars with drugs in them or anything like that. He's a KID who has a lot of growing up to do.
I'd take Mike on my team anyday no matter how long he stayed because I know he makes my team better. He's not NEARLY the problem child that Post article would have you believe.
And as for this K-State situation...Mike honestly could care less about Huggins. The only reason he committed there was because of Dalonte Hill. Guess who was the assistant at Charlotte when he originally committed there? Dalonte Hill. He's following Hill not Huggins.

I don't think Beasely is allowed to follow Huggins right? Or is that just for transfers, which in this case he has not enrolled yet?

We have an open assistant position, hmmmm.

/\ They COULD only grant him a release if he chose not to follow Huggins. Alot of schools have done that before. They tell a player we'll only grant you a release if you don't go where the coach goes.

Thats where things could get tricky...the way the K-State AD is acting right now he could seriously hire Hill as the Head Coach and have Beasley and Sutton stay. I'm not sure what Bill Walker is going to do. He seems to be the most damaged in this situation.

My bet is that Walker will transfer. He has an ACL injury that puts next season in doubt anyway, so sitting out a year probably isn't much of a hrdship for him.

I say you check to see if Beasley is interested in coming to GTown. It cant hurt. Maybe the kid is misunderstood and all he needs is the right environment to be successful. What better place than under JT3? I know a lot of you guys want to take the "perfect" kid but I say guage his interest and go from there. I saw the Burger Game and he could surely be the final piece to our championship puzzle.

I dunno...I have nothing against the guy, but I'm not sure that he would be the right fit for our program right now.
I want players who want to to wear the blue & gray.
