...at least 3 more to go...
All of you need to stop crying and remember where your basketball program was not too long ago.
You're not guaranteed championships and undefeated seasons just because you get a few high profile recruits, and the basketball program is being praised by a few so-called "Experts".
Shut-Up and enjoy your program!!! The good and the not-so-good...

Agreed.
Though, it's still hard to fall from #8 to 3-2 (with two bad losses at home) in less than three weeks.

Aggy, if we had just lost, I'd be cool.
The effort was pathetic, though. It's frustrating to root for teams that don't look like they are trying.

Correction - 4.28 Forty...
Buff, the Aggies haven't won eight games in the past three years, and I haven't turned my back on them. I admit, I've done an awful lot of cursing in that time, but still remained faithful. Remained faithful when there was no potential or hope for potential.
The Hoyas' struggles aren't that bad.
As long as the Hoyas don't turn on each other, I like our chances against anyone come March.

see i know it's frusterating because we have the talent but didn't exert the effort but i think it'd be even more frusterating if we had the effort but didn't have enough talent to win no matter how hard we played. We'll turn it around, starting with duke on saturday. It's going to be all right i throughly beleive this team is going to be fine and be much better than they've showed. But i guess as a result of my blue and gray lazer surgery i can only see the good of the team.

Disgruntled fans are a fact of life. Down here our football team is 11-1 and playing for the SEC title and every other call is from someone complaining about not scoring enough points or the lack of offensive flow because of shuffling two QB's in the game or why we can't make a field goal etc... In all fairness, the worst place kicking in the history of football is beginning to pi$$ me off as well, but still ... There were even some complaints after our hoops team lost to Kansas in Vegas last weekend. We lose by 2 points in overtime to a top 5 team and people think the sky is falling? COme on, get real ... In your case I am really surprised that you lost to Oregon. It wasn't on down here at all so all I know is what you guys have said and the box score. It looks like Wallace had a decent game but not much help from the rest. I see that Oregon is 6-0. Did you think they looked like a high caliber team, or do you think you just didn't play well? In any case, I am sure you will right the ship in any case. 2 losses don't kill you by any means, but granted no one likes to lose at home. What about Green? Was he in foul trouble? I know the methodical offense you run doesn't lend itself to as big of numbers, but I think Jeff should pretty much be a 15pt 9 rebound guy almost every night.

I think the biggest concern seems to be the lack of effort, Hifi...
And at Georgetown, that is simply unheard of and not tolerable.
You'd think with the incoming and present talent, guys would be beating each other up to get on the floor...and killing themselves to stay on the floor.

If theres a silver lining to be found in a bad no effort loss-- its that i would assume that JT3's post-game speech tore paint off the walls in the locker room and they WILL put out more effort on saturday. A bad loss (even if its our second in two weeks) can be the thing to turn a season around. Come on big effort on saturday.

I think most fans from every team are in agreement on that one. A lack of effort is one thing none of us can stand ... in ANY sport.
Hell, I used to go to Jai-Alai matches frequently and the one thing that would getme yelling at the players the most was not hustling. Anybody can drop an easy ball or the sort, but to not try to get to the ball is unacceptable. It is just like not hustling down the line to first base. 99 times out of 100 the routine 2 hopper to short is an easy out. But the one time you don't hustle the throw is wide but the the first baseman has time to come back to the bag ... and you look like a schmuck.

last night was a tale of 2 halfs. first half i think we played with a lot of effort. we only ended the half up by 2 because of all the turnovers and sloppy plays we had. also i think roy got hacked several times in the paint with no call. i think it made him tentative for the rest of the game.
second half we played with much less intensity and the same turnovers, poor defense/rotation and sloppy execution. couple that with Oregon shooting much better and you get a loss.

I looks like we are definitly the most overrated team this year, but what about in past years? Anyone remember a team falling off the map this bad and this quick? Hopefully there are some other teams that have done this before.

I'm hoping that last night's loss was a wake-up call, but I fear that things will get worse before they get better ...
Other teams have been through this before. Anyone want to research how many have ended on a high note after tanking early on?

I can understand losing, but it's the WAY we're losing. I can understand freshman mistakes. But we're not making as many as I thought. The reason we lost is we're getting PUNKED when the going gets tough (incl. hibbs and green) and our 3-point shooting is a liability right now.

...we (GU) gave away points by throwing lazy non-urgent passes at the end of the game. i mean, what is that? ? there should be some sort of "money set" where when the game's close at the end, get it into the big guy or get it to green and sort of scrap the princeton O. we'll be okay though.

Maryland - 2001 - Should have won the title but lost to Duke in the semis due to some 'trickeration' by the referees...

Aggy is right as always. The question is does he plan on making any predictions for the Duke game like he did last year?

Aggy is right as always. The question is does he plan on making any predictions for the Duke game like he did last year? Actually, NJ, this past summer I predicted the Hoyas to beat the Devils down in Cameron. I know...it wasn't quite as "Balls'ey" as last year's pick, but when I made the pick, we were thinking that the Hoyas were Final Four bound. But if we hit our Free Throws down the stretch, we win by 8...
