Hey guys, it seems as though Wake and G'town could be Wright's top two at this point (nova may have some 'ship issues and won't be able to offer). I was looking at the 'ship table for your team and noticed that wallace isn't on scholarship. What's the reason for this? Does a parent work at the school? Did he join the team as a walk-on? Will he be on 'ship next season? Thanks.

He's been a walk-on since coming from Princeton (well... he never really attended, but he was slated to) with III. It is assumed he is getting some form of aid, simply not atheltic.
He hasn't been on scholly for two years, no reason to suspect he will be next year.
That said, Barker Davis has reported Wallace WAS on scholly as recently as January, but there's been zero confirmation of that claim.

As owner of the schollie table, I'll go so far as to say it is likely that Jon is now on an athletic scholarship. If he isn't, it is an arrangment like Buff suggested.
That said, if Chris Wright wants to come to Georgetown, a scholarship will be there. That's two years of transfers and early entrants to the NBA away.
I haven't changed the table because a) it has never been officially verified and b) it'll just instigate another transfer discussion.
EDIT: Also, if Chris Wright wants to go to Nova, they'll find a way as well.

Buff, if Barker says Wallace is on schoolly shouldn't we assume its the truth since Barker is an expert on Hoya Basketball as oppose to Camille Powell? ;D

That's for 2009, if JTIII stays and he gets his new on-campus arena.

Oh OK, thanks for clarifying. Was a little shook up there for a moment. I believe our schollies are linked to the inflation rate or something like that.
And the Big Ticket Jordan shoe is still on its way as well right?

Wallace is on scholarship. This is not an assertion, it is a fact.

Okay Chris, and the source of that info would be...
I'm not trying to doubt you, but for that statement to mean anything, you have to say more than "it's a fact."

Of course people need valid proof on here to believe to the smallest things but Wallace IS on scholarship. I can't find any "valid" sources online being that I only know of this by word of mouth from a member of the team but here is a site that explains our roster situation for next year and it shows Wallace as being on scholarship. But of course this site hasnt been verified by the Pope so I know most will doubt its vailidity... collegehoopsupdate.com/html/team_roster_Georgetown.php
