I'll trade the joy of seeing Duke lose for a couple of RPI slots any day (especially since we're already in, and at most could slip one seeding).

patrick & vitale are in fact gushing over paulus already. i think he is a good player but they make him sound like the second coming. he still makes very bad decisions at times and couldn't guard a chair on d. paulus & mcroberts better step up next year since they lose 61 pts & 19 boards a game with redick, williams, melchioni, & dockery graduating.

I think my favorite moment was late in the game, loose ball on the FSU offensive end and Patrick screams out (yes, literally screams): "LOOK AT GREG PAULUS DIVE FOR THE BALL!!!!" Yes, that's very nice, Mike. Guess what? Andrew Wilson also dove for the ball and guess what else? Wilson is the one who got there first and ended up with it. But I'm pretty sure Mike Patrick didn't even know Wilson's name, so I suppose he can be forgiven for not giving him equal or -- dare I say it -- greater credit for also going after the loose ball. Hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him.

Going off that, according to kenpom.com, Duke is still #1 in the RPI, and we only dropped two spots yesterday from #21 to #23. We're still in great shape, and we still have beaten the top team in the country, as well as #7 Pittsburgh. The only team that controls Georgetown's NCAA Tournament seeding right now is Georgetown.

FWIW, Paulus' per game averages so far this season:
Min: 32.1 FG%: 37.6 (1.9/5.1) 3PT%: 35.8 (0.7/1.8) FT%: 78.8 (1.8/2.3) Rebounds: 2.7 (0.4 Off, 2.3 Def) Assists: 5.2 Turnovers: 3.3 Steals: 1.3 Blocks: 0.0 PFs: 2.1 PPG: 6.3
He'd be a pretty effective point if he could cut down on the 3.3 turnovers/game. Right now I'd say his numbers are fairly average.

Duke's coach has a chat scheduled for 4 PM today...on the deadspin website they list potential questions. Here is what they suggested:
"Nice day to pick to chat with the nation; the day after your first league loss. Well, anyway, let’s get to it — your many mistakes aren’t going to list themselves."
I refuse to refer to him by his little nickname
