It appeared that the terrible twosome were making a claim that FSU has always been problematic when it comes tothis kind of thing. Patrick should know. His butt never leaves ACC country.

I'm really beginning to think that it's borderline irresponsible for ESPN to allow Patrick and Dukie V to be the commentators for Duke games. Jay Bilas doesn't even show this kind of bias and he went to Duke and played for Coach K

Before I begin, I'm shocked to see any of you posting here since this thread is clutter. Some of us were posting in the proper Games of Interest - 3/1 thread.
Replays showed several Free Shoes U students arriving at the floor after jumping OVER dooky v and mike patrick, so perhaps that is why they were so sensitive.

Redick is cooked. He's fading away. He's short-arming. He looks bad.
18-59 in his last three. And yet his evil coach continues to play him almost 40 a game. Rest the kid, you goblin-headed jerk!
He played 72 of 80 minutes in blowouts of 21 and 23 versus Wake and Miami. And don't get me started on the early season which featured such "Coach K burnout classics" as 36 minutes against Davidson and 37 in the no-doubter versus Texas.

I don't know what it is about Duke and the Leon County Civic Center. Jeebus.
And the court rushing thing--NOT THE LEAST BIT SURPRISING that it went down like that. There is NO student section in the country that fills the court on a court-rush faster than Florida State. It's unbelievable. And no, there's no good security there (I LOVE the lady in the garnet bib thing trying to hold back traffic though). And no, Florida State's student body ain't about anything orderly.
The technical was more than well deserved. But that, sadly, isn't going to deter anybody from doing it again.
(Funny to write this having done the "oops, we rushed too early" thing in a slightly different situation last year at MCI ;D)

I never heard Vitale or Patrick being concerned about the VT players' safety when Duke rushed after Dockery's shot.
Stupid hypocrites.

Not sure if anyone saw the end of Texas game, but is it possible that Tucker takes the same (non-)classes that Vince Young takes. Seriously, the guy comes out of a timeout with 15 seconds to play and 10 on the shot clock and literally dribbles out the shot clock. Texas A&M takes over, 3-bomb, game.

Though, as a student, it would be pretty cool torush the floor twice versus Duke in the same season. Sure, it was in the same game, but I know I'd be telling my kids that me and my buddies rushed the floor twice against the # 1 team.

Yeah, it surely couldn't have been the fault of UT's genius basketball coach. And why bring Vince into this? Is there something else you're really trying to say here?

Stupid Duke, I wanted them to go undefeated until selection sunday, now we're not the only ones who have beaten them anymore.

FSU stormed the court twice against Duke, we stormed the court twice against Notre Dame last year.
The difference? FSU did it out of stupidity and inability to count down to zero. We did it out of referee necessity. Although looking back on it, we would have looked pretty stupid if Big Roy's dunk hadn't counted. But whatever.
This won't really hurt us. Duke will kill UNC on Saturday and run the table in the ACC Tournament. What this really hurts is the bubble team that won't make it now because of FSU. FSU still has a little work to do, but for them this is huge. As long as they don't lose out, I can't see them being denied.

And by the way, Congrats to my old coaching hero (before he stupidly left Miami and followed me to DC and tried to coach Les Boulez) Leonard Hamilton.

As a hater of all things Seminole (except for my sister who i am just starting to forgive for going there) I was not surprised at all by their behavior at the end of the game...wouldn't expect anything else from them...unlike us who used our victory over Duke to spark a strong run, the Noles will have their euphoria end this weekend when they face the 'Canes...if not, would love to play them in the tourney and show that just cause we both beat Duke, it doesnt make us equals.

duke lost, redick sucks, nice to see coach k quit at the end of the game and take his girls off the floor. i thought the refs did an excellent job. two fsu players took 29 of the 40 ft's. mcroberts and williams couldn't guard them. fsu took the ball to the basket and drew fouls, the pukies settled for jumpers, other than williams.

I would have liked to be the only team to beat Duke and this likely takes a bid away from the BE, but my strongest opinion about this game is ESPN's allowance of Patrick and Vitale to continuously call Duke games. I thought the media was supposed to remain unbiased, it is ridiculous listening to those two constantly harp on how great Duke is!

Someone put Mike Patrick on 24-hour suicide watch.
Not because Duke lost...well, OK, because of that too...but I think Sean McDonough got the call to announce the Duke-UNC game on Saturday.
Patrick must be despondent. I look forward to him showing up Joan Rivers-style at Cameron Indoor. . .
"Wait a minute. Your mic's not hooked up! You're not even on TV are you?"
"In my mind. In my mind."
I remain convinced that Vitale and Patrick have refused to watch the Georgetown-Duke game. If they had, they would have known that the middle of the lane is a weak spot in Duke's pressure D. One that Georgetown and FSU both exploited. But they were shocked, SHOCKED that Duke's defense had any weaknesses.
Yes, it would have been nice being the only team to beat Duke, but let's face it. They should have lost a conference game before now anyway. At least one, if not two or three.
Oh, and JJ Redick may be graduating, but -- don't look now -- Mike Patrick's got a new loverboy on the Blue Devils for the next few years. His name? Greg Paulus. RETCH!
Why do I flay my senses by watching these broadcasts? (Answer: because the Bruins were busy getting spanked by the Hurricanes and nothing else was on except Howie Mandel).
