Remember the big 'stink' that Shaq made because the selelction committee took so long to ask Iverson the first time?
Classic stuff...
I love Shaq for sticking up for AI...

Jerry Colangelo is God? What the heck kind of religion is that?
;D ;D
(answer: 'sun'-worshipping, obviously...ba-ZING!! )
Good for A.I. Hope they give him a slot.

Can they PLEASE invite Michael Redd and a TRUE pont guard this time??! (note: Marburry is not a true point guard - he is alternatively a ball hog or the best player on any team that isn't making the playoffs)

What true point guard? Are there any Americans that qualify as true point guards?

Steve Nash qualifies. He's from America Lite.

Whatever, i just want us to have someone who can shoot a 3. We can't all jump over the French guy and dunk.

Billups and AI would be a disgusting backcourt. Couple them w/ a full-speed Lebron and softie Timmie Duncan left at home and this team should clean up.

Hence the "America Lite" comment.

Hence the "America Lite" comment. Actually, I believe it's "America Junior."

I prefer "The Enemy to the North." "The Terrible Tundra" is also good.

Kidd is a true point, and he's most definitely American. And Stockton is THE true point guard, and he too was from The States.
Billups oughta go just because of how excellently he's played these last couple years. They should consider taking Bibby, IMO, because I don't think he's gone yet and he can hit from downtown. And if they're looking for some younger, hungrier guys, even though it seems like thats frowned upon nowadays, the guy from Wake, Chris Paul, has looked good this year and will be a heck of a player in the future, IMO. They should avoid me-first points like Steph, Baron Davis, Francis, Arenas etc. Just my opinion.

Is it wrong to want to root against the US team since it's coached by the anti-christ from Raleigh Durham? If Iverson goes I'll have to root for a Hoya to win a gold medal, but if he's not there I have to admit I'm truly torn. It's just so fulfilling to see Coach K lose. Throw in the fact that Boeheim is an assistant and it makes it a Hoya fan's worst nightmare to root for.
