Don't lower yourself like all the people did who rooted against the team JTII coached in 1988. You have to root for the USA.
You do not, however, have to be disappointed when they lose.

Is it wrong to want to root against the US team since it's coached by the anti-christ from Raleigh Durham? YES!!! I really don't know why Hoya fans hate K and Duke so much. He curses a lot--so did JTII and so do 75% of college coaches. He works the referees--so do all good coaches. He has a whiny voice--born with it, can't help it. I mean, what else has he done to engender such hostility, other than recruit a lot of good players and win a lot of games? The entire world laughed their ass off at the U.S. when we lost in '04. Basketball is our sport, and it's the sport that we ought to completely kill people in, because it's what the best athletes in America play (along with football). We may lose in soccer, but that's because most of the best athletes in America play hoops or football. It's OUR sport, and I HATE to see us lose. It was really horrible in 2004, and in 2005, we CANNOT let it happen again.

Is it wrong to want to root against the US team since it's coached by the anti-christ from Raleigh Durham? If Iverson goes I'll have to root for a Hoya to win a gold medal, but if he's not there I have to admit I'm truly torn. It's just so fulfilling to see Coach K lose. Throw in the fact that Boeheim is an assistant and it makes it a Hoya fan's worst nightmare to root for. It'll be tough for me...after 2004 AND 1988... But I'm a little more American sometimes than I like to admit. So I'll probably cheer for them in spite of Coach K. But I'll definitely watch with the volume turned down...
