Per a quote in rivals, Chris Braswell, a top 20 combo forward in the Class of 2008 (HS sophomore) and teammate of '07 commit Austin Freeman has the Hoyas as his very early leader.

This guy is on the level of the other local commits we've gotten, if not better than them. I've seen him play, and he can dominate a game without scoring a point.
So, let me be one of the first to show some love and appreciation for Chris Braswell. He'd be as big of a recruit as any we've locked up, if not bigger, which says a hell of a lot considering what we've gotten.

I've forgotten, is he related to Kevin (younger brother)?

I don't believe there is any relation.

I feel like he's Kevin's cousin, but I can't remember where that information is from (and actually, it's possible that I'm really thinking of Devin Sweetney).

Thats really, really great news. I'm sure III and the staff will stay on Chris really hard, getting to a load of his high school games this year and next (2 birds with 1 stone) as well as a bunch of AAU games of his this summer and next.
As long as nothing really goes wrong, ie there is no trouble in the program, we don't play like crap on the court, Braswell keeps his academics on track, etc., it seems like we have a great shot at landing him.
Great job again by the staff!

Braswell's a solid 6'8, 200, and growing.

I will never cease to be amused by the idiots on the Maryland board.

A team with Braswell and Freeman? Sounds familiar.

Braswell is a PF, no question about it. I tried to size him up when I saw him play, and I think he has some room to grow taller. He also has not yet filled into his 6'8" frame.

He may have the ability to play SF as well. He's just a "forward", for now.

The Maryland board is a riot. I love boardmember Hogie's logic: "It's way early. I bet 90% of kids don't end up going to their sophomore "leader". So we can effectively eliminate them."
Hogie, what color is the sky in your world?

lol gotta luv the terps, let them reminisce there national champ from a few years back because those years have gone by along with the years of their so-called 'dominance' of recruiting in the DC area.
