It is crazy. We know very little right now.
Cooley will likely be the head coach next year
Sorber, Mulready, Williams, and McKenna have signed NLI and will probably be on the roster.
Do we know much more for certainty?

I don't know, but whatever the answer is, it's meant to paint Cooley in as poor a light as possible.

I believe Rowan will as well, it's a shame it won't be at Georgetown.

Do we know much more for certainty? After what Benedict Akok pulled at the last second, nothing should be surprising. Between NIL, free transfers and Akok like shenanigans, the NCAA is the Wild West right now. It’s the reason all the great coaches are retiring.

What’s funny is that while Rowan was here, Boya trashed him daily for being unathletic while also salivating over Garwsy Dual and saying we should have had Dual and not Rowan. Boya what are your thoughts on Ungrateful Chris Holtzman going to your DePaul Blue Demons? Whats the word on the street in Chicagoland?

Ok. Players have been able to enter the portal for a full business week.
Epps, Styles, Fielder, and Cook have not chosen to enter yet when they could have. This suggests to me a higher likelihood than last weekend that they will be on the roster.
Here is the roster only including the freshman and the apparent returnees.:
PG - Mulready SG - Epps Wing - Styles/McKenna Wing - Sorber/WIlliams C - Cook / Fielder

It takes time time to adjust

Yes - everybody's gonna be better in their second year at the new school. Except Jayden Epps, apparently.

I believe Rowan will as well, it's a shame it won't be at Georgetown. Maybe. But let's face it, there aren't many players that develop from Kolek year one to first team All American. It's not impossible, but it's not real likely.

Brumbaugh didn’t see the floor as a freshman at Texas. Kolek is actually fast and has burst while Brumbaugh has mediocre speed and no burst. Kolek is fundamentally sound with high basketball IQ which is why he probably started his first year. Brumbaugh seems to like to showboat and always is looking for the high risk low success rate exciting pass. He also dribbles 12-15 times to start a possession which takes the other players out of the play and leaves little time on the shot clock.

Seeing him in the BET, I was extremely disappointed with RB’s short burst acceleration. He’s got a very pretty, fluid handle but none of it matters if you can’t beat your man off the dribble. I also think if he had that quick twitch at his height then he’d have been a top 25 recruit and at a UK. Would have loved to see if he could develop but I’m not upset that he’s left, serious question marks if he has the athleticism to develop into a top tier PG. Cooley and staff need to absolutely kill the portal this year.

So, when do commitments, signings, and announcements begin in earnest? I imagine things will shift into overdrive after March Madness but also that the portal is open until May 1. Can't remember from last year when we started getting more concrete news.

Kolek was freshman of the year in the Atlantic 10 and led the big East in assists in his first year at Marquette. All of a sudden Rowan is going to become a star.

Agreed. What a dumb comparison. Kolek was freshman of the year in the Atlantic 10 and led the big East in assists in his first year at Marquette. All of a sudden Rowan is going to become a star. I watched a bunch of Kolek this weekend. I am not saying it's impossible for him to get there, but Rowan Brumbaugh is nowhere near Kolek level at the moment. And I don't think he is anywhere close to where Kolek was a year or two ago, either. Again, I wish we had kept him, but we shouldn't overestimate his ability simply because he left. Put differently, before we thought he would transfer, nobody was saying to themselves, "I am sure glad to have a point guard staying who is Tyler Kolek 2.0!" Still, I wish Rowan the best, and I wish he had stayed. Hopefully we can find others to fill the roster who exceed his abilities, since otherwise, we are not going to get better.
