Stick a fork in PC's NCAA hopes. That is all.
This is important - I will be there to supervise.

if we somehow get a sizable lead, don’t give it up.

This is a winnable game, as was the last one. Let's win it this time.

Providence is a pretty good matchup for the Hoyas. Oduro is a good player but not an Uber athlete. And their guard and wing play outside of Carter are mid at best. I have no faith that this team can find a way to win based on the track record - but I'd be disappointed if it wasn't competitive.

You can be sure English and Pitino saw what Xavier just did to us. Expect a pounding in the paint with the added threat of 3's from Carter and Jenkins. Unless we miraculously improve our defense we easily lose the next two and our first BET game.

Unless we miraculously improve our defense we easily lose the next two and our first BET game. At this point, if anybody scouts us properly they will know they can walk into the paint and get easy layups. While I like good three point shooting as much as anybody, if I was playing Georgetown, I would just attack the paint all night and get easy points. Opponents are shooting 71% at the rim against us, which is the worst in all of Division 1 (ranked 362). We aren't much better in the paint, where we give up 46.6%, which is ranked 337. Really unacceptable. I blame everyone, but this is why we cannot have Cook anchoring the paint next year. He just isn't good enough on defense even though he's a pretty nice offensive player.

JT2 has to be rolling over in his grave. You have to wonder what guys like Patrick Ewing, Dikembe Mutombo, and Alonzo Mourning think about it as well.

Given the relatively high prices on stubhub and other reselling sites, I’d imagine that any Providence fans in the general DMV vicinity are the buyers. Can’t see many Hoya fans motivating to get themselves to this one at the end of this dismal season. Combined with the students being gone on spring break, this sets up to be a pro-Friar crowd. Embarrassing, but maybe a fitting end to a complete mess of a 2023-24 Hoyas campaign.

My observation from the last game was some of our players got a little personal which takes away from the team concept. Hit the boards, give a few hard contested fouls in the paint (give Ryan some PT) and stop the fast breaks.

Unbelievable stat: Providence has won five straight in the series and 16 of 20 vs the Hoyas since 2014.
La Famiglia had no pride or self-respect.
