Hoyas need to start the game on time for once.

We beat DePaul last game mainly on the impressive foul shooting of Cook. Let's hope he can repeat today.

Have missed the last few games - hoping to catch this one given timing - sure hoping it’s enjoyable to watch.
Just want some improvement - signs were moving in right direction.

"This is as desperate a game for both downtrodden programs as it gets. Almost the same scenario played out last year when Georgetown won its only conference game against DePaul on January 24 after losing 28 straight Big East games prior. Call it the battle for 10th place... It will still be a momentous day, as DePaul will retire Terry Cummings No.32 jersey at halftime of the game... As for the game itself, well, it might be quite the eye-sore, as predictably there is not a lot to like about both teams. DePaul and Georgetown are coming into the game on 14- and 11-game losing streaks, respectively... To say that Georgetown and DePaul struggle on both ends of the floor is, to put it mildly. Let’s start with the offense. The Hoyas rank 10th in the Big East in scoring, averaging 71.4 points a game, while DePaul ranks last in the conference averaging just 64.5 points per game. Meanwhile, the two teams also struggle with efficiency, as DePaul ranks 10th in the league in field-goal percentage, knocking down just 42 percent of its shots, while Georgetown ranks last in the Big East, connecting on just 41.6 percent of its field-goal attempts. As hinted above, both teams struggle on defense and on the boards, as well. DePaul ranks last in the conference in defensive points per game, allowing 81.4 points per game, whereas Georgetown ranks second to last in that department, allowing opponents to score 71.4 points a game. The two programs also are the bottom two teams in field-goal percentage defense. DePaul ranks second to last, allowing opponents to shoot 48.3 percent from the floor, while Georgetown ranks dead last, as it allows its opponents to shoot 48.6 percent from the field." 247sports.com/college/depaul/article/depaul-vs-georgetown-game-preview-how-to-watch-betting-odds-georgetown-basketball-depaul-blue-demons-basketball--227610504/

Pretty please with sugar on top.. don't make me beg I'm not above begging at this point. I present myself on bended knee, eyes raised toward the heavens, in abject supplication, begging all the heavenly powers to deliver a win for our Hoyas tonight. Amen.

This is a must win from a morale perspective. We need it.
And more Fielder, less Massoud.

DePaul has given up and they didn’t even get a new coach bump. We should win this game simply by trying. Like in 2021 some people were always thinking there would be “that game” ad it just never happened. Maybe they get a hot shooting game and we are certainly ripe for that. Just feels like Cooley should have them much more motivated than a lame duck coach. Let’s get to 2 wins!

Announcer just said this has turned into essentially a “rivalry of suck”.. That might be the most depressing way to sum up the the last few years.

DePaul is simply dreadful.
And this game is not a lock.
Sad…

Gotta get Styles outta there if he’s going to defend like that and throw lazy passes.

Like Fielder's rebounding so far. Don't know about that dribble in the lane, though.

DePaul is horrible rebounding. What happened with Cook? He failed to contest at the the rim twice and got yanked. Now back in.
