Dawes is covering Epps very closely, but Epps seems to be struggling to do the same, but boxscores show similar lines.

GREAT BLOB play....and it leads to Heath getting blocked for an easy runout that ignited this run. Next season can't come soon enough.

Bristol has had three 3s without a defender in the same zip code on good ball movement that haven't been close

I really thought Bristol was going to be a real 3pt threat. Nope He was when he came to the Hilltop, but that disappeared and Cooley and his assistants haven't been able to resurrect it.

Hoyas for a couple decades have brought in players who were good shooters and most often that shooting capability disappeared.
Cooley and assistants have seen a few players improve their shooting over this season, which is a good change. I hope Bristol gets his shot back.

Epps, so far has not been a solid transition on ball guard. The outlet player is open and Epps draws the defender(s), but is slow to get the ball out, doesn't set the pace to get an open look for the outlet, or just doesn't pass at all and takes a shot that is well defended.

Heath's shooting improved quite a bit. Fielder also had his shooting improve as be bulked up which is really difficult to do. Ish is streaky and is basically just a set shooter, but not great.

That seemed to be a really long stretch with neither team scoring.

I have a bad feeling that missed FTs may really cost us down the stretch. Cook has reverted to the mean after his stretch of good FT shooting earlier this season.
