Sunday noon on Fox.
Putting 40 solid minutes together would be great.
Anything more will be a bonus.

Call me crazy but if we play any defense this is a winnable game.

Call me crazy but if we play any defense this is a winnable game. If no Clingan or Clingan in foul trouble game can be won. UConn is not as good as last year and are slow and unathletic with Karaban and cam Spenser. They will always have a speed deficit because of those two and that makes them vulnerable especially in the ncaa tournament.

They sit him out till the next game I feel.

I doubt Clingan plays (they don't need Clingan to beat us and why risk his health on us) - but I don't think it matters - their backup C Samson Johnson is probably the 5th or 6th best C in the Big East. We don't have a legitimate C - I really think Cook is a decent PF being asked to play out of position.
Watching Castle or Newton or Johnson and then calling them slow and unathletic is certainly a choice.
I hope we can keep it within 30.

Any team with good guards will give Gtown fits until they learn to guard as a group, a zone won't aid them in this game

I like the optimism but there is zero shot we win this game. UConn now sees the #1 ranking in site. There is history with Cooley. They are a good shooting team that we won’t be able to zone. Honestly other than a surprisingly close game last year at Cap One, I don’t think we’ve played them within single digits since they’ve returned to the BE. Also they are the only BE team we haven’t beaten at least once over the past 4 years. They are not a good matchup for us.

I kinda like Fielder's skill set. I think he could develop into a serviceable Big East level player, especially if that 3-point shot develops into a 2-for-5 per game kind of deal. Will really stretch a defense.
He has some work to do, but the clay is there to mold.

I don't remember the Capital One game, but I was at the game at UConn. It was a homecoming for Primo, and he lit it up. I remember the final score being a difference of 11 points. It gave them a scare. I also heard some commentator say that that was the smallest margin of victory for UConn in the BE all last season. TBS, I don't see us winning this game or even making it close. Would love it if they do, but mighty 8 ball says "outcome seems unlikely". I will watch -- my fortitude is up, and I'm keen to see where we are as a team against one of this year's best.

O.K., awake now and wanting to verify. And I was wrong. The away game at UConn was, indeed, and 11-point loss, 84-73. BUT -- in our home match, we lost by only 6, 68-62. THAT was the smallest margin of victory for UConn in the Big East for the 22-23 season.
It should also be noted that UConn's record in the BE last season was only 13-7 (I say "only" in full recognition that we would fall over ourselves to have even a winning record in the BE anytime soon). Others have made the observation here that UConn did really well out-of-conference last year and took its licks within the BE. So far they have turned that around this season.
Until tomorrow, baby!

The game at Uconn we were up in the 2nd half of that game and fell apart to lose by 11 at the end. www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/game/_/gameId/401485187/hoyas-huskies

And Hoyas were actually ahead at the 4 minutes to play tv time out (I remember well because I had a few more casual fans as guests and we were all STUNNED Hoyas were in that position — but alas…) As to tomorrow, “No chance, Fredo” (as Tom Hagen would say). Hoyas unfortunately keep playing highly motivated foes and just don’t have the talent (yet) to keep up, and UConn will be incentivized to not only win but to run away with it and thus make a “We’re #1“ statement. Whatever the spread is, I’d give the points and take the Huskies (damn!)

I think a loss is likely given UConn’s strength, but if I am not hallucinating, I recall attending an absolute blow out loss to DePaul- one of the worst moments in my fandom of the Hoyas. At the time, I regretted having purchased tickets to the following game at Marquette. Yet, somehow the Hoyas won.
So we play the game for a reason. Go Hoyas! Stranger things have happened.

Whatever happens, I hope we see the same resilience that we saw against SHU.
