We can belittle DePaul all we want, but these teams are pretty evenly matched, and I like what DePaul is doing in some respects more than I like what the Hoyas are doing.
I aspire to not be in the situation ASAP.

We will probably win but these are two of the same team. We just have a little more shooting. If they had any shooting this would be a blowout.

Good aggressive play by Fielder the last several minutes.

DePaul is getting plenty of open 3s. Our defense is collapsing with the first driver. Maybe guarding the paint instead of the 3 is the strategy today. And another wide-open 3 missed by DePaul to end the half… hey, whatever works…

Fielder looks bulkier, like he has spent a bit of time in the weight room.

Real lucky that last shot by DePaul didn’t go down. He couldn’t have been more open.

Hoya mental lapses largely are what are holding them back from a solid lead in this game.

Good aggressive play by Fielder the last several minutes. Looking forward to junior Fielder! (If he stays)

Nice little run with Fielder in and Cook out. It might hurt us offensively in the short run, but for development and defensive (especially rebounding) reasons I’d like to see more Fielder minutes at Cook’s expense.
Them together earlier today did not work.

Fielder looks bulkier, like he has spent a bit of time in the weight room. The impressive thing is he is doing upper body strength and has kept his good 3 point stroke and accuracy. That combination is rather rare. Adding strength and bulk upperbody in season often really messes with shot mechanics and accuracy. Good to see Drew has kept it going. Must have spent a lot of time shooting as he transforms, which likely also means Hoyas have a good shooting coach onboard, which was a rarity.

Cannot wait for “fans” to stop beating up in our own players. Your right my bad...keep working Heath...17 years in college still hasn't figured out how to play defense, work in the flow of the offense, get teammates involved...but he will get there...rooting for you buddy.... participation trophies! Feel better now? We all see his weaknesses, but he’s a Hoya. You aren’t some kind of specially insightful genius for dissing kids who underperform for our team, you’re just a weak hearted wanna be fan.

…and so true supporters of the team stay away nowadays. Who are these “true supporters of the team” staying away nowadays because some posters are desperate for success? We are the only sickos still around. Everyone else is waiting patiently doing anything other than watching GU basketball until Cooley patiently brings the program back to the top. Every alum I talk to (not on HT) was pumped at the beginning of the season, but now are back to same old, same old… I cannot blame them.

Looking at the boxscore and Styles line is similar to others, with not much showing, but does have 3 turnovers which is unusual.
I'm beginning to think he is in some new different witness protection program where he is out there, but not seen.

Every alum I talk to (not on HT) was pumped at the beginning of the season, but now are back to same old, same old… This isn't binary. I know a ton of long time die hard fans who support the program, but got utterly fed up with the the trashing players and the program (for what ever reason). Many of us stayed and we use the block functionality to vile trashings. There are good people here who love the Hoyas, understand the game well, and understand the hole the Hoyas are digging out of and it isn't a one or two season turn around. Ewing ran a rental agency bringing cast off players chasing NIL and another shot, with occasional good players in the mix. Players didn't care about Georgetown nor the Big East, they cared about themselves. Cooley had 3 players staying on (I really would have liked to see Murray stay and Akok, but that isn't what happened).

I'm beginning to think he is in some new different witness protection program where he is out there, but not seen. Two of those turnovers were bad luck on hustle plays. One was the result of frustration after the 1st two. I think 3 turnovers over-states what effectively happened. Typed as I watch him try to turn it over again.

I aspire to not be in the situation ASAP. DePaul is trying to run an offense, and Gtown just runs plays.. Frustrating watching the stand still dribbles while waiting for a wing to pop open

Love the offensive board off FT and then a bucket. Nice drive and finish by Ish, he lost that part of his game for a while.
