Jackson State lost to Memphis, San Diego, Cal Baptist, Loyola Marymound, and Tulsa, yet they are coming off beating Missouri 73-72 at Missouri. And Missouri is almost certainly better than us at this point, so Jackson State is no pushover (even if they aren't very good).

And Missouri is almost certainly better than us at this point, so Jackson State is no pushover (even if they aren't very good). The caveat regarding Missouri currently is that Gates has to rely on Sean East and Nick Honor for consistent offensive production, both of whom were complementary role players to the now departed Kobe Brown (now w/ the LA Clippers) fulcrum. Neither of them has proven to be (absolutely) reliable thus far. Gates also is employing a 12 man rotation that some supporters have been griping about, preferring a more settled 9 to 10 man lineup.

For anyone who might have forgotten Tyler Adams, he was a 2011 recruit who showed promise, hustle, a great fired up attitude, and was well on his way to becoming a fan favorite when his career was tragically cut short after only four games, due to a diagnosed heart ailment. He stayed with the team, always keeping his great attitude and by his senior year was essentially acting as another coach on the bench. On senior day in 2015 he was granted a waiver by the NCAA which allowed him to suit up, start the game and play briefly. Seton Hall was kind enough to agree to let him score to start the game, after which he was taken out of the game. A wonderful moment in Hoyas history and all the goodwill that went down that day is a suitable way to remember a good man and a really good teammate.

Many believe the program is cursed to this day because we never gave Seton Hall back a basket on the next possession.

Congrats I can't accept, there are much much much wetter blankets out there. However, since that day we are 106-147, two coaches have been fired, we haven't made the tournament as an at large...

Still don’t understand how we don’t give SH a free basket in return.

The David Allen handshake diss was quite something on a rewatch ... or maybe he was just too small and got passed over ...

Many believe the program is cursed to this day because we never gave Seton Hall back a basket on the next possession. Does the curse get broken if Coach Adams "gifts" us a free dunk to open our next game? Run that Rutgers play and get the ball into Supreme Cook!

Every game will be tough for Hoyas learning each other and not much depth but walk ons. I am excited to be rebuilding though and happy to have Cooley here. Go Hoyas.

Its funny that people are giving you a hard time but my first thought was did we give SH a basket back....I couldn't remember the sequence but it just seemed like the right thing to do........

The way I remember it is that Seton Hall DID score on the next possession but not because we let them do it. I was disappointed in JT3 over that, and had much respect for Willard.

I’m good with taking a free basket. Ultimately SH was done in by allowing Josh Smith to shoot 13 free throws and make seven. Speaking of curses.
