Dangerous. Can score at the basket better. DSR could shoot the three. Epps has a ways to go in that regard. But certainly has a bunch of strong attributes. See the videos under the Epps story in Casual Hoya -- He seems to be shooting the 3 just fine from different spots with a hand in his face at times. Clean, strong shot it looks like. He has a touch of that Primo buzz but finishes stronger with better shots. Also distributes the ball well. Smart -- good court vision.

Perhaps I am reading too much into it, but I feel like the atmosphere/energy of these player vignettes is just so might lighter / positive than anything we saw in the past (which was limited, since access to the players was always so tight). But overall, I just feel like the environment/atmosphere around the whole program is so different. For example, basically every player doing this has named Jay Heath as one of the funniest guys on the team, and whenever you see Heath he's always smiling/laughing. Very different from last year, even at the beginning of the year before it was obviously we'd be as bad as we were.

Reminds me of DSR.

Or as I like to call it: the Top 10 Transfer Portal Candidates… I don’t know the transfer status (if they’ve used the free transfer) of the other 9 players, but Epps would need to sit if he transfers.

Jayden has a chance to be a legit AA candidate his last 2 years. Needs to take care of the ball and get bigger/stronger so he can be a 2 way guard. Love his game on offense, absolute nightmare to guard.

I realize Jayden has some terrible turnovers and can sometimes push the envelope of shot selection, but I don't think we're giving him nearly enough credit of how good a multi year player to build around he is.
He can get 30 on any given night. His floor vision is actually pretty good, the turnovers tend to be off sloppiness or overdribbling. He finishes well and creatively off glass after getting downill. He can play either guard spot. And he's the type of player when an offensive set breaks down or you need an end of game 1 on 1 can get his shot.
If he continues to tighten his floor game and commits to the staffs vision he has a chance to be a very special player as an upperclassman.

If he had a legit big man to pass to on his drives, he'd be unstoppable. That should happen next year as Sorber as great hands and finishes down low well. Cook is great at finishing with power but misses the lay ups and has terrible hands.

I think Epps is a perfect example of just how close we are to turning this thing around.

Maybe it’s lack of trust in the target or maybe it’s just inadequate passing skills, but I hope you’re right that it improves when we have a better post

I think Epps is a perfect example of just how close we are to turning this thing around. Epps is a really good player and can really score when he gets going. I think he might get a little predictable at the end of games with what he is trying to do. His usual move is to dance with the ball a little and get the defender backing up and then try a step back 3. I think he is good enough to beat his man off the dribble and get into the paint, but at the end of a game the other team has helping waiting on him in the paint and scoring over those bigger guys is tough. Normally that step back is going to be a decent shot for him, but the defender for Seton Hall was waiting for it and was able to get a block. As he plays more and gets better scorers around him the variety of options he has on an end of game play like that should improve. While I think he is the teams best scorer, at this point I think he may need to penetrate and look to kick to an open shooter for the team to get a good look. He has shown he has good vision and is a capable passer, so while you would not have your best scorer shooting the ball, you should get a good look.

There is a lot to like in Epps’ game. He just needs to keep working hard and listening to the coaches to tighten up a few things. He is definitely a keeper.
