Absolutely par for the course for boya. Constantly polluting this board with snide remarks and petty backhanded comments trying to sabotage the program from the inside out with his jilted-lover, obsessive, passive-aggressive negative publicity campaign not to mention the relentless firehose of DMV-area recruiting spam on "missed opportunities" and completely unrelated drivel just to point fingers, misdirect, and sow discontent and a general feeling of malaise. Dude would be permabanned in an instant on any other serious P6 team forum for all the shade he's thrown at our high school student commits (and family members) but alas here we are. Just the fact that this character is allowed to run willy nilly day in day out like a vandal on this board is an absolute disgrace that not only reflects poorly on this program but is god awful optics from the standpoint of any potential recruits even entertaining the thought of taking a chance on a ground-zero rebuild. Please banish this ghoul to Red Storm Nation or whatever the company he deserves. Respectfully disagree. Yes, he takes subtle shots from time to time, but he’s the only poster providing recruiting information about DMV players, Top 25 players, etc… in contact with GU. Pat Ewing taught me not to follow recruiting closely (because he missed on most of his targets and the recruits were going to come from left field). Now, this is the only site I check for GU recruiting news. That said, you’re correct in that he shouldn’t take shots at our new staff, who are very busy trying to rebuild the program, and recruits. LOL. “Subtle shots”? That’s laughable. Guy is a worthless troll. |

Getting back to Queen. I've heard that he wants to play mostly the 4 in college because he thinks that's where his future pro prospects are. Not to mention Sorber's passing ability at the high post allows for a big to big attack. I think the pitch is far more likely to be a willingness to play him at the 4 next to Sorber than a reclass.

Sounds like a kid who's gonna bounce quick. I would think he's a final piece type recruit, only after you have all foundational pieces in place to 1) accommodate his arrival; and 2) sustain success after his departure.
We may be at that point already, but that would be my counsel to Coach Cooley (who's doing a GREAT job so far)...

Respectfully disagree. Yes, he takes subtle shots from time to time, but he’s the only poster providing recruiting information about DMV players, Top 25 players, etc… in contact with GU. I'm overall positive on the direction of the program, and how recruiting is going. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't frustrated to see Pitino absolutely killing it immediately.

I agree that Queen is probably not coming here. But I don't agree with them not being able to play together. This isn't the NBA with illegal defense and free throws for playing a zone or a junk defense. The Flex offense you most definitely can play 2 bigs at the same time. Actually makes it harder to guard especially if they are efficient passers who can handle somewhat. Cooley brings up often that BC team with Sean Williams, Craig Smith and Dudley basically played volleyball cause of the physicality of those 3. |

He provides information about a lot of recruits that he feels that the staff should be recruiting and as soon as he feels that the staff is making grounds with a particular recruit he'll start bashing the recruit. The other thing he does is flood the board with information about recruits in their senior year that we have never had any chance with to make the staff look incompetent. I thought that he just hated Ewing so I didn't pay his antics much attention but he is following the same game plan with Cooley. |

Maybe Grant can play 5 minutes a game but any of Rowen/Epps/Heath going down for an extended period of time leaves us very thin in the backcourt unless a kid like Styles, McKenna, or Bristol can handle flexing down to the SG position. Bristol did last year. In fact, if Bristol plays like KL or freshman Bristol, we could have an impressive 5,4,3,2 both ways in Cook, Akok, Ish, Bristol, with the PG going to the best two-way player of Heath, Rowan, Epps and DS. |
