Excited for this year, jumping up and down for next year. Seeing descriptors like this for a number of our new players: tough defender, can guard multiple positions, can score on all three levels. If we haven't totally believed that the center-centric approach is a thing of the past, Cooley and Villanova -- actually teams throughout the NCAA -- should make you a believer. Versatility is the name of the game now, and I am looking forward to the combinations Ed and staff put out on the floor. Will definitely be problematic for opponents.
Wondering how many will play Kenner.

So the class for next year is Sorber, Mulready and Williams with McKenna technically being '23 now?
Seems like lots of length, athleticism and some shooting. Feels like we need another point guard, though.

Staff should be all over Bethea or Boswell to round out the class.

If we can get Boswell to finish the class I'll be beyond thrilled - looks like we have a real shot Doesn't look like Boswell is going to happen based on the last couple weeks. He never made his visit to G'Town, and it doesn't look like it's being rescheduled. He's also mentioned taking several visits over the next little bit, and there was no talk of G'Town in there. Boswell is fantastic, and I'd love to get him, but I wonder if there is more to this --- as in maybe Cooley is so impressed with Rowan that he's pulled back here. Rowan's got 4 years of eligibility left if I'm not mistaken, and Boswell is likely going to come in as a freshman and want to start, based on how good he is. It also seems like we're in a good spot with Nyk Lewis (2025 class). It could be that Ed realized Rowan is that good, and we can't go after Boswell and Lewis (that would create a massive logjam at PG, and likely lead to us losing both those guys), so he's focusing more on Nyk Lewis for 2025. I'm okay with not going after Boswell if it's because Cooley thinks Rowan is ready for the PG spot, and he thinks he can land Nyk Lewis for 2025. I'm going to be optimistic and believe the Boswell cooling off has everything to do with Brumbaugh being ready.

If we can get Boswell to finish the class I'll be beyond thrilled - looks like we have a real shot Boswell ship has sailed. Staff focused on 2025 PGs/Combos. Getting another top level 2024 PG/Combo is not realistic when, barring something unforeseen, Rowan and Epps are penciled in for a large share of the minutes, and Mulready is already committed. Doesn't mean things can't change - but for now focus would seem to be on 2025 PGs/combos not 2024. I think they will try to round out the class with swings at guys like Derik Queen or Jakhi Howard.

They may still need another legit guard because at this rate they will only have three next season. But having a potentially outstanding freshman guard arrive on the roster in back to back seasons could be a reason why the staff had to cool on Boswell. Cooley does seem to be in a good spot with highly regarded point guards in the class of 2025; and that gap may be suitable enough to ease any sense of overcrowding. I do not think Queen is someone the staff is still considering. As for Howard, who knows?

I know Queen and Sorber has an epic battle last year. Interesting that he would visit still but they could definitely play together

Yes, both are below the rim guys with incredible basketball skills. if they both were here, 2025 id expect a Final Four.
