Road venue where putting a solid second half together with a solid first half would be the first step towards a win.

Let’s see who’s able to play. Should be Groundhog Day regardless.

We could be missing up to four key rotation guys. Has anyone ever been shut out before?

Best offense in the league going against the worst defense...
Good luck

Definitely shouldn’t make a coaching change on such a short turn around. Might lose and we definitely cannot afford another loss at this point.

Marquette could easily hang 100 on us. They are running great offense this season, with a 5-out/positionless approach that has players and the ball in constant motion. Expect a barrage of wide open 3s and dunks/layups. Kolek is an excellent passer, and Ighodaro is playing a kind of point center role that should tear us up from the high post. This could be our worst loss of the season, especially if Murray can't play. Not that he has been playing particularly well, but he is far, far better than any of our bench options to replace him.

It is hard to pin down, but the longest in conference losing streak I can find is 29 by Northwestern across 1989-90, (4 games), 1990-91 (18 games/winless in conference) and 91-92 (7 games/coincidentally in light of their win last night, ended with a win over Illinois). If we "hold serve" you might say, when we play DePaul at home on January 24 we would be at risk of losing our 30th in conference in a row.
Now, there may be longer streaks by high level D1 teams out there but the records are so spotty I can’t even find all the likely candidates’ records let alone know for sure which games reflect the conference they were in at the time. Northwestern was an easy guess and conference affiliation to know…

Jordan should run the Point...Murray would not of had that dunk opportunity if Jordan did not make that pass to him off a tough catch. Jordan is 6'4" Athletic combo guard that is unselfish and can lock down the opposing PG on Defense.

I have nothing to say, just making sure the Board is still working.

"KenPom.com Rankings Marquette: #17 Georgetown: #220 Game Projection: Marquette has a 96% chance of victory with a predicted score of 88-68. So Far This Season: Georgetown has been bad, as expected. Needing overtime to beat Coppin State in their opener was a bad sign, but the season didn’t officially get bad until they lost to Loyola Marymount on a neutral court... I refuse to take this seriously as a necessary preview. Georgetown refused to take their program seriously by not dismissing head coach Patrick Ewing after ended the 2021-22 season with 20 straight losses to Big East opponents and 21 straight losses to high major foes, and so I don’t have to go through the ins and outs of what is or is not specifically good or bad or potentially troublesome about the Hoyas." www.anonymouseagle.com/2023/1/6/23539719/marquette-golden-eagles-mens-basketball-big-east-game-preview-georgetown-hoyas-fire-patrick-ewing

Murray is out. Mozzone is iffy. Bristol is available. Spread is somehow not 30 so load up on MU.

I think we will play better without Murray, more as a team.
