I keep updating Twitter to see if UConn had a Covid outbreak.
No such luck. Lay the points…

Tonight's jerseys will have a new Louis Orr patch for the remainder of season. This would have been nice to promote ahead of the game

When UConn is up 15-2 at the first timeout, the spread will move to +30 and then it’s time to take the points. Maybe at 33 I would do it. 30 is too low. We won't lose by 30 tonight. Ewing tries way too hard at the end for that to happen. I took the 23 for that reason. Akok should also be inspired and have a good game.

We live in an era where winning at all cost is now the norm. We ridicule and demonize our heroes, because they haven't done anything for us lately. I'm a Hoya fan, and I'll keep sending the team my good karma throughout their struggles. We are also living in an era where Georgetown is in real danger for violating the APR rules likely for the first time ever. What about the deflated basketball and all that? Apparently, that has gone out the window. Patrick Ewing is not my hero and never has been my hero. But, I would never demonize him. If calling him a bad coach (which is truth) is "ridicule" then so be it. Portraying this as a "haven't done anything for us lately" issue is absurd. In his now 6 years as a head coach of Georgetown, all Patrick Ewing has done is get a miracle BET win, which was truly a lot of fun, but in retrospect set the program down this path. I just resent it when people equate fandom with blind loyalty to Patrick Ewing. As an alumnus, my loyalty is to Georgetown, not any single person. That's the primary reason I am a fan. Secondarily, I am a fan of the kids who put on the uniform, and I feel bad for them that now for several years they are placed in a situation where they cannot succeed. It is truly hard to stomach continuing on a path where, now for a second season in a row, we go into almost every game expecting a loss. If you are okay with that, kudos to you. But, it's not good enough for me, and I am still a huge fan of the program and badly want to see our students win on the court (and in the classroom).

Guess we need to shoot 100% to win the game. . .

Only the Hoyas could not miss a shot and still be losing at the under 16. I do feel good that if we make all our shots tonight we will pull it out.

Another game and another careless inbounds pass from Akok. He is everyone’s favorite, including mine, but that is an avoidable mistake. Ewing’s team shooting 100% but 3 or 4 TOs already means we still trail. Value the ball.

Akok should have been hustling down court, not helping the UConn playuer get up.

It’s ok if a guy shows good sportsmanship. Murray’s face after every foul is not.

Well the ball movement has already stopped and we are getting to watch Primo and Murray take turns forcing shots in the paint against a taller team. Is this really the offense that Ewing wants?

Akok should have been hustling down court, not helping the UConn playuer get up. Exactly! I was Editeded not seeing Akok running back down court.

It's so weird hearing a coach, coach, in the huddle.

The “defense” from Bristol on the Jackson fastbreak was laughable.
