"Flowers may or may not take one last junior-year official in the coming months, but what does seem certain is that another list trimming is coming this winter. Creighton seems like a near-certainty to make the cut, as does Memphis. North Carolina and Florida State are also schools to watch. The touted wing has strong connections with the Georgia State staff, and Arkansas seems to be a player as well. Kentucky is yet to offer, but could make the cut if the Wildcats decide to push." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/trentyn-flowers-talks-potential-visits-upcoming-trimming-of-list

"One of the most in-demand prospects in the 2024 class, 6-foot-9 wing Trentyn Flowers intends to trim his list of college options from 13 to “five or six” before the end of his junior season at North Carolina’s Combine Academy. The upcoming cut is a significant one and it’s hard to know exactly which schools will survive. That said, Rivals recruiting director Rob Cassidy doesn’t mind offering the occasional educated guess." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/programs-likely-to-make-the-cut-in-trentyn-flowers-recruitment

Georgetown recruiters would have an easier time convincing Trentyn that it is cool to take a dump in his own pants than to come to Georgetown over UNC or Duke as a five star.

“I’ve been a little critical of Trentyn Flowers in the past because his production didn’t always match the potential provided by his tools, but, in my mind, the tide on that front is starting to turn. He seems as comfortable as he’s ever been at Combine Academy, where he transferred prior to the season. He’s cut down on bad shots and is becoming more assertive with the ball in his hands. He’s scoring off the dribble and through contact better than he ever has and has had games where he’s shot the ball well from deep. He still needs to add weight and become a better defender, but everything is trending in the right direction since his transfer. He dropped from five to four stars in the last update, but is playing like a prospect that deserves that fifth star back.” - Cassidy basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/rivals-roundtable-player-on-the-rise-surprising-starts-bronny-jamesFive-star wing Trentyn Flowers is still feeling out the recruitment process. Flowers, who is 6-foot-8, 180 pounds has taken official visits to Oklahoma, Georgia State, Louisville, Creighton, and has not set his fifth official visit. Flowers will also unofficially visit Arkansas. “I should be going to Arkansas unofficially and I still have one more official left,” he said. “I still have to figure out where I’ll take that visit to.” “Right now I’m still feeling everyone out,” he said. “I’m thinking about cutting down my schools soon. From there, I’ll keep feeling everyone out to see where’s the best fit for me and my family. It will probably be next month. I’m trying to get through December and January before I get into what I might be doing.” “When cutting my list, it will really come down to whoever I feel like has a good family oriented environment and who my family and I can trust. Also I’ll be paying attention to their style of play, and the prototypes of players they’ve had before me.” 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Basketball-recruiting-Trentyn-Flowers-Louisville-Arkansas-247Sports-200660952/

The Trenton Flowers recruitment was fun while it lasted... "The No. 24 prospect in the 2024 class, Trentyn Flowers has narrowed his focus to include just five schools. Alabama, Creighton, Arkansas, North Carolina and Louisville are the last schools standing in the race to land the forward’s pledge, and Flowers says all stand on equal footing at this juncture." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/trentyn-flowers-discusses-top-five-commitment-timetableAlthough according to a different site, he's still open to 6 schools, not just 5. "Trentyn Flowers, the No. 21 overall prospect in the 2024 class, has cut his list of suitors down to six options: Alabama, Arkansas, Creighton, Kansas, Louisville and North Carolina." 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/2024-five-star-SF-Trentyn-Flowers-cuts-list-to-six-202673310/

I kid. At least Lville is in year one of their current coach. That is the difference here and why we won't get any other recruits either. 23/24 will strictly be a transfer wire year (again) as we plug holes once the new coach is brought in.

"Why he’s critical: Creighton’s coaching staff laid tons of early groundwork here and have poured massive resources into chasing Flowers, who has a few blueblood options to his name. Greg McDermott and company have long felt like one of the leaders to land his pledge, however, and getting his letter of intent could help the perennially successful Bluejays take the next step toward reaching the Elite Eight, a goal the program flirted with a couple years back. Creighton has not landed a five-star prospect in the Rivals Era, and it seems as though Flowers provides a realistic opportunity to change that. If Flowers decides to head to Omaha, which for the moment seems more likely than not, he’d have a seismic impact on the immediate future of the Creighton program." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/i-ve-got-five-on-it-must-get-prospects-in-the-2024-cycle
