Flowers has scheduled four official visits: Oklahoma (Oct. 14), Louisville (Oct. 22), Georgia State (Oct. 28), and Creighton (Nov. 5). Memphis was scheduled to host him this weekend for an official visit, but they trip will be rescheduled to an unofficial. What is Trentyn Flowers looking for in a school? “I just want it to feel like a home away from home. You know, I have great parents. My mom and dad always took care of me and they’ve always made sure I really have everything. So you just making sure that the coaches really just taking care of me and treat me as how they would their own child. So for me, it has to be family based. The coach has to be a good man, good moral, good values. Because at the end of the day for me, it’s bigger than basketball. Just somewhere where I can play my game. I feel like my game does the speaking for itself. I’m going to take care of my business on the court. So somewhere where I can just be used be very versatile wise. Be able to bring up the ball and play off the ball, and be preferably be a combo guard, and then somewhere where I can be one-and-done. That’s the goal.” www.on3.com/news/5-star-trentyn-flowers-talks-schools-involved-unc-oregon-louisville-memphis/

Despite not yet receiving an offer from first-year Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer, Combine Academy (N.C.) five-star junior Trentyn Flowers has repeatedly mentioned interest from the Blue Devils. But on Thursday, the 6-foot-8, 180-pound small forward, who ranks No. 22 on the 247Sports 2024 Composite, didn't list Duke among the 13 schools he's considering. They are Alabama, Arkansas, Creighton, Florida State, Georgetown, Georgia State, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Oklahoma, Oregon, UNC, and Virginia Tech. However, after announcing his list, Flowers informed 247Sports' Dushawn London that he might add a "wild card school" later. And there's evidence to suggest he could be talking about the Blue Devils — should they decide to enter the fray. "Duke was my dream school growing up," Trentyn Flowers told On3's Joe Tipton in May. "That offer would mean the world. That's a big offer. Just growing up, I watched a lot of Jayson Tatum and Grant Hill. Being able to go to Duke and put on that blue, it's just an honor. The legacy they've had, how many wins they've had over the years, it's amazing to watch." www.si.com/college/duke/recruiting/duke-basketball-wild-card-five-star-recruit

If Duke is your dream school, no one is going to beat you up by upping your list to 14. If we win the national championship this year I think we have a shot at this kid.

The upside of Flowers has always been there, make no mistake about that, but his production has been up and down over the past year. He’s going to be one of the main pieces to a Combine Academy team who can make a lot of noise this year on the national scene, so he will have every opportunity to show increased production against high level competition. At 6-foot-8, he has a nice overall skill set that allows him to attack from multiple spots on the floor depending on matchups.

"It has been a while since we have been able to consistently see five-star Trentyn Flowers consistently play. The 6-foot-8 wing guard has always shown flashes of talent and ability, but he has not been able to show consistency. Flowers is showcasing toughness this season, battling on the boards, pushing the break, and finishing with contact around the rim. The jump shot has great balance and release, and he is a fluid and explosive athlete on both ends of the floor. The role Flowers played suited his game really well; able play outside, but also show he can do things around the basket. The 2023 On3 150 No. 8 player finished with 12 points and 8 rebounds and left his impact squarely on the win. Flowers, who recently narrowed his recruitment to a final 13, has taken four junior year official visits; Louisville, Georgia State, Creighton, and Oklahoma." www.on3.com/news/five-things-i-learned-at-the-carmel-christian-tip-off-classic-trentyn-flowers-austin-swartz-jaydon-young/

"Trentyn Flowers is ranked as the No. 24 prospect in 2024 class and spent Friday backing up his rankings with an impressive, 23-point effort that saw him shoot an efficient 9-for-12 from the floor and help his Combine Academy team to a win over Atlanta-based The Skill factory High School squad. Flowers’ stats were impressive, sure, but even more important to the Georgia-born prospect’s long-term future is his improved strength and the improving ability to create for himself in the mid-range via pull-up jumpers from multiple spots on the floor. Flowers’ scoring effort was well-balanced, but it’s also clear that the junior is starting to improve as a defender, where his long arms and solid instincts resulted in nine rebounds and caused problems for the opposition from the jump. Following the game, Flowers said he may take one, final official visit this year before shutting recruiting travel down until next summer and cutting his list, which currently stands at 13 schools, to include just five programs. “I’m looking at Georgetown for a visit right now, even though I’ve already been up there once on an unofficial,” Flowers said. “Florida State and maybe, like, Kentucky too. I’m looking at all those.” basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/cassidy-s-takeaways-day-1-of-holiday-hoopsgiving

"What he did: Flowers turned in one of the two-day event’s most impressive performances on Friday, as the Rivals150 wing poured in 23 points on 9-for-12 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. Most impressive was Flowers’ ability to create for himself at the hoop as well as in the mid-range, where he flashed a variety of comfortable pull-up jumpers. Flowers is clearly becoming a more consistent offensive prospect and his defense seems to be trending upward toward its potential as well, as he routinely created chaos in passing lanes via his long arms and improving footwork. Recruitment: Flowers says he may take one more official visit before year’s end, and is considering Georgetown, Florida State and Kentucky, which is yet to offer, as destinations for said trip. He intends to trim his list to include just five schools before the end of the season. Creighton, Memphis and Georgia State seem like solid bets to make the cut, but where Flowers will actually land remains a bit of a mystery." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/cassidy-awards-holiday-hoopsgiving
