I want him to stay more than most do, but it is what it is. Trust the staff I did not mind Brad as player but I am sure Cooley has had independent meetings with all of the guys to spell out what his expectation are, and if Brad decided that after the meeting, that he was not going to be a good fit with the new staff, then it is best for everyone involved for him to move on. I wish him well.

Or Hoyaboya’s theory that they are the traveling Nickleberrys and are a package deal to where Nickleberry goes next.

Cause I don’t see Nickleberry landing at a level higher than that … Sorry, totally uncalled for. Me culpa mea culpa mea m maxima culpa

Of all the recent transfers I thought Holloway had the biggest upside. Apparently not. I really thought EZ would stay since he seems to have to "Meanery" that Cooley (and Lic) are looking for. Let's see if he doesn't blossom somewhere else.

He might on offense, but the dude doesnt even pretend to try and defend anyone.

He might on offense, but the dude doesnt even pretend to try and defend anyone. Agreee. But he is a big body underneath and in the right kind of defense he might be able to hide his deficiency. Problem with Ewing NBA style man is that big men had to be much more agile and mobile than our bigs have been. Opposing teams feasted on this. I'm sure Cooley recognized this in his games against us over the past 6 years and will make the necessary changes.

My impression is that Cooley isn't going to carry a guy that doesn't try though. Brad isn't Jamil Okafor on offense either. I think he would be ok if the Brad tried hard and was aggressive, but just not good enough. But, unfortunately Brad, like Murray from LSU, just dont try.

That's certainly one way to peace out - bridges don't need to be left standing I guess

I don't like that anyone said something bad or that this is his perception, but this goodbye makes me respect both Qudus and Malcolm A LOT more for how they represented themselves.

You say that like he’s not right Go back a couple pages here, there's like four comments that could be read as negative by drquigley, professorhoya, wolveribe, and yourself. Twitter has been downright supportive of him. If you think he's right (I don't), congrats on making it that way I guess? In general though, he signed onto a 0-20 situation. What did he expect?

Victim mentality for him and those around him have been there since he was in high school - all you had to do was look at tweets from those close to him. Kid was highly ranked at one point but never developed. Good athlete and if he ever learns how to play defense, might be a rotation guy on a decent D1 team. Probably needs to go down another level from the Big East. I hope he gets a degree and puts his education to good use.

He may not have learned anything useful about basketball from our staff, but the Thompson/Ewings certainly can help in developing victim mentality by just being aroung them. Good luck to the kid and I hope he gets to play under a capable staff…

There are literally dozens of posts all over this board saying he can’t play D. You declare that my saying “I want him to stay more than most” as negative. I hope your professional life does not require reading comprehension.

I hope your professional life does not require reading comprehension. "I want him to stay more than most" doesn't really matter when the point of your post is that the coach probably thought he wasn't up to snuff and pushed him out, anyone would rate that as a negative post. I don't think you're out of line in saying that, but I also don't think a lot of criticism was pointed at any of the players this year - most of it was towards the staff and deservedly so. Same thing as Bradley's "only thing I can send is peace and happiness" with little heart emojis does not matter when he takes a crap on the fanbase on the way out in the first sentence.

Why would you post a negative tweet on your way out? Like the fans held back his game.
