Big win today for my Aztecs. They looked awesome - love Dutch and how his teams play. I’d pay him $5M/year no questions asked.

Not sure where to put this so since he's a Nova guy I'll stick it here..
I agree 1000% with Ray & will add that the age of kids due to the covid year is a big factor as well. I really hope the NCAA takes notice & expands the eligibility rules yesterday...
P.S. - The following was one of the next posts I read. Here's another good reason why expanding the eligibility is a good idea. It'll help to make the tourney that much more unpredictable.

With the St Johns news, the Big East has an extremely strong cast of coaches.
If Wright was still at nova then I think the argument could very much have been made for best conference in the nation

IS ST. JOHN’S ABOUT TO MORPH INTO A RECRUITING JUGGERNAUT? "Things on the recruiting front could change in a hurry for St. John's after hiring Rick Pitino away from Iona. Yes, having a brand name such as Pitino running New York City’s most famous basketball program is going to generate buzz from prospects and high school coaches alike. That’s all fine and well, but modern recruiting is about money. That, my friends, is why this bit of reporting by the New York Post’s Zach Braziller is so interesting. In the story, billionaire St. John’s alumnus Mike Repole, who has distanced himself from the program in recent years, discusses his desire to help financially support the Red Storm once again should the school hire Pitino, a fact that is just as important as anything else Pitino brings to the table in Queens. So what happens when you arm one of a 70-year-old coaching legend with access to a massive bankroll and a desirable location to which to recruit? I cannot wait to find out, but it’s a good bet that the situation will disrupt the Big East and possibly the recruiting landscape of the Northeast region as a whole." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/i-ve-got-five-on-it-major-offseason-storylines

The coaches in our league really are ridiculous....it's going to make it really tough on the newer inexperienced guys to climb up. Any team that gets through league play with less than 5 losses is really going to deserve a high seed. I can't see any of Cooley, Pitino, Hurley, Smart, Miller or McDermott being a bottom dweller.....that makes it tough for one of Holloway, Neptune, Matta (if he gets back to his vintage days, he belongs in that upper tier as well) and whomever Providence hires to break through (I know I missed DePaul, but they haven't been a contender for so long....going to be tough to break through now). They'd have to take one of that first tier of coaches consistently out of the top 6 in the league. We may not be there for a couple of years, but I have to think Ed will get us there in 2-3. It's going to be a fun league.....hopefully they all have something left for the NCAAs every year!

Honestly even this year we probably should have had 2-3 more teams in the tournament that were wasted on Mediocre Big Ten and ACC teams.
