I take no satisfaction in the "0-20" thread, desperately wanted to be wrong by at least a handful of wins.
This one is easier: a record low level of activity on HoyaTalk this off season. So little for the optimists to post about; and without the optimistic yin to agitate them, the pessimistic yang will have less to react to.

I agree on the low level of activity on the board, folks can see it already. If we’re being honest, there are very very very few optimists left and even fewer who post regularly…

It is inarguable that Healy Hall's benign neglect of the university's basketball programs (yes, plural...I'm including the women's team as well) has eroded alumni support. The prospect of padding next season's record by scheduling games against the like of New Jersey Institute of Technology, William & Mary, Charleston Southern, Columbia and Fairleigh Dickinson is not at all exciting.
I posted Einstein's purported quote on Twitter this past week, in regards to the likelihood of no significant program changes on the Hilltop: Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Is that where we are, now, as a program?

First domino I expect to fall is Aminu putting his name in the portal and/or declaring he’s testing the draft waters.

After the Lee Reed statement, the jettisoning of the 2 staff members least connected to Thompson and Ewing was very predictable. It’s also very predictable that being a 5 win run-of-the-mill cellar dweller next season will be sold as moving in the right direction.
The program is probably at least 24 months away from hope, and even further away from relevance. The program and University have clearly indicated that winning isn’t as high of a priority as it should be. The program has never been fan friendly. There’s not a ton of reasons to be interested in supporting, or even following, a Thompson, Ewing, and friends toy/slush fund when the results are atrocious.

He is not ready to be an offensive contributor in the NBA. He is a very good college player and I think he has a future in the pros, but not next year. Not saying he wouldn't get drafted or anything, he is just a guy who could really use another year. I doubt it will be here though...

The semi-official list of only those eligible to ever be hired as a Georgetown assistant coach; namely, those who did it before or who pass Ronny's muster: Norm Washington Eddie Meyers Mike Riley Mel Reid Ronny Thompson (not out of the question) Jaren Jackson Chuck Driesell Rob Burke Kevin Broadus Sydney Johnson David Cox Kenya Hunter Mike Brennan Tavaras Hardy Kevin Sutton Anthony Solomon Bill Howze (also not out of the question)

1. He was never an assistant coach. 2. Nepotism clause, because, well, don't they all report to him anyway?

My prediction if Ronny and people are still around when JD finally leaves… outsider new president uses his brain and fires all of them for driving us into the ground and Ronny calls our new president racist lol

I’ve always assumed that he’ll declare for the draft, but, staying in school and going elsewhere would be a real slap in the face. Like McClung. Mac asked for the keys to the offense and Ewing bucked back. In hindsight Ewing should have given in to Mac and let him run point. I believe he would have been a better option than either Harris. Aminu has the keys already so it's just a matter of does he want these keys, shared keys(a team like UVA), no keys(a powerhouse) or a payday(pros).
