Mac asked for the keys to the offense and Ewing bucked back. In hindsight Ewing should have given in to Mac and let him run point. I believe he would have been a better option than either Harris. Aminu has the keys already so it's just a matter of does he want these keys, shared keys(a team like UVA), no keys(a powerhouse) or a payday(pros). This may be revisionist history. I believe I’ve also heard that Mac and his family had issues with how his injury was handled by the training staff.

I’ve always assumed that he’ll declare for the draft, but, staying in school and going elsewhere would be a real slap in the face. Aminu really should stay in college another year. He is not ready to be an offensive contributor in the NBA. He is a very good college player and I think he has a future in the pros, but not next year. Not saying he wouldn't get drafted or anything, he is just a guy who could really use another year. I doubt it will be here though... I agree that he is not NBA ready. I don't have a good feel for what G League offers him or he them, but after watching Jamorko do what he has done - with more polish to his all around game -- I don't like that for Aminu. Here's the thing -- he would really benefit from at least one more college year -- just not at Gtown the way the program is now. He needs a system that will help him use his many talents and develop discipline and judgment on the court. Oh, and to add a dependable 3-point shot to his toolbox. Ewing's "system" -- whatever it is -- has not done that for him this year. Others have said it -- he needs to not be the best or main guy so he can work on growing and becoming a more complete player. Love him and hope he stays but I don't see that being what's best for him. Prediction: transfer portal and us crying watching him on a new team.

Next time we get into the tourney prediction: 2026/2027 So you're an optimist?😀 I think the program is dead longer than that. Once Jack D departs, his successor will likely have no tie to Georgetown's athletic identity and brand as a basketball power. Hence, the program will be even a less of a priority for a new university administration.

Coming here to be the star of the program didn't exactly work out for him, did it? The effort was always there, but the efficiency was often lacking. Going to a program where he is surrounded by better talent (and better coaching) would make a world of sense for him, and I will be very surprised if it doesn't occur. I predict Texas, but he would have lots of options.
