Smart use of fouls
Avoid live-ball TOs
No easy three-point plays
Lots of subs starting at 18:00-17:00 left in the first half
GO HOYAS!!!

The way we competed with Villanova the last 3 years was we had someone to punish their small ball in the post that could keep the game close. The guy who could have done that is playing in College park

But moving on and working without such a formidable post presence, do we match them small with Collin or Holloway going to work in the post or stick with a 7 footer who isn’t nearly as powerful offensively or, realistically, defensively?

How about we don't spot the other team 10-15 points.
Agreed with the above conversation that we don't have the C that can punish Villanova. Instead, I wouldn't mind us try going small...lets try to give JBill some confidence at the 5. Aminu can play the 4 against Nova and Holloway won't be quite as exploited. Nova is going to be able to take advantage of our guards and wings so let's not handicap ourselves in the middle too.

No he shouldn't. He is doing the right thing by playing all three centers. Neither of them are a focal point in our offense and only Malcolm can defend the middle at this point. You need Big Tim to start because he adds muscle to our inside game. Coach just need to get Dante penetrating to the basket so that he can dump off to Big Tim down low for easy baskets. But no, please keep it like it is.

*** LINKS ONLY PLEASE *** I'm debating on whether or not I should go to this game. I'm still scared of Covid but I do want to see the boys and it would be my first time ever seeing Villanova.

You should definitely ATTEND THE GAME. All of us should if we safely can. I fear Villanova fans are gonna literally outnumber The Faithful and if the game goes as we fear, it will be even more depressing without a bunch of us to share the pain... And the players/students deserve our support in these trying times no matter what. Plus, it's Villanova: what could POSSIBLY go wrong? Wait -- too soon?

Need to come out with a game plan ready to execute that demonstrates you've done enough film work and preparation to exploit a weakness or tendency the other team has shown. Cant rely on spending the first 8-10 minutes of every game just observing and then trying to figure out what to do. There's probably also some level of pre-game motivation that needs to happen that just isn't right now. Can't continue to operate under the assumption that players at this level will be self-motivated and if not, well too bad. Responsibility is on the staff to make sure the team comes out engaged and prepared. Put some real game pressure on some teams and a few of them will crack. But aside from getting it to within 6 late in yesterday's game, we've put 0 game pressure on anybody in almost a month. Can't do that by falling behind big early and spending the rest of the game playing catch up.

If you are fully vaccinated and wear a KN95 or N95 mask you should be fine. I plan to be there, JetBlue permitting.

Obviously though you have to make baskets to press so who knows if that was part of last night's gameplan or not. Also pressing Providence is different then pressing someone like Nova. Either way, we've shown an effective press (and not just in spurts) so it should be a tool used more often.

I am fully vaccinated, I do were the KN95 (as a matter of fact, I go to sleep with it on) but I didn't get my booster. If I make it to the game, we will be rooting together!

The guy who could have done that is playing in College park Correct. While Duval Simmonds, who is responsible for the destruction of Qudus' college basketball career, continues to take shots at Georgetown -- you know the place that actually developed and featured Qudus. An absolute shame. “It’s just a matter of just adjusting, and getting familiar with the coaching staff, the community and the players,” Simmonds said. “Once he does that, you will see him be a completely different person. I think I’ve seen [Wahab] laugh more in these past couple of months than at Georgetown.” www.baltimoresun.com/sports/terps/bs-sp-maryland-mens-basketball-qudus-wahab-20211227-jayqelatz5bihhrfe5thqf4czi-story.html
