I will be in attendance at SC. If any others from this board are also there you will be able to find me in Section 101. I have a handicap seat where you will find me with two beautiful ladies, my daughter and my granddaughter. I will be seated there with a white Hoya cap and a blue 1984 NCAA Champion tee shirt, along with my cane. Go Hoyas.

South Carolina stinks and Frank Martin is on the hot seat. Hoyas should win this one.

SC was also missing their best player I think Who was that? What is his prognosis for playing against the Hoyas?

SC was also missing their best player I think Who was that? What is his prognosis for playing against the Hoyas? Junior starting PG Jermaine Couisnard. Groin injury. Questionable for Hoyas game. I believe Coastal primarily plays a zone, so they're not necessarily a great comp for us defensively (unfortunately).

This is just the Skip Bayless tactic of setting it up so that he can roast the program even more if and when we lose. Skip does it all the time with Lebron lol. It's looking impossible for the Hoyas to lose to South Carolina this season - this isn't the same Gamecocks team that looked like a sleeping giant a few years ago. Coastal Carolina has already lost to UNC-Wilmington and Toledo this year, so it's not like South Carolina lost by 24 to a good team. Also, Frank Martin seems to be blaming everything on his players (sound familiar?) - check out some of these quotes from last night's postgame: “I told the team in shootaround today that we’re taking a 20 spot,” Martin said. “I told them, and that’s what happened. I should have been a prophet.” “(Our bigs) got nothing done,” Martin said. “Played with no physicality, no presence on offense, no presence on defense. (They did) nothing, and that’s including Wildens. It was just a complete waste of time, the way our big guys played today.” www.thestate.com/sports/college/university-of-south-carolina/usc-mens-basketball/article256250537.html#storylink=cpy“There’s no basketball to be talked about,” Martin said. “We’re embarrassing.” southcarolina.rivals.com/news/mbb-coastal-carolina-dominates-south-carolinaI predicted the Hoyas would win by 13, but I could easily see it being a 20+ point Hoyas blowout victory...

Counterpoint is the South Carolina has beaten UAB, Western Kentucky and Wofford, all decent enough teams. It’s not impossible for this Hoyas team to lose to anyone.

Our Hoyas are still a work in progress. We can be beat by any team on a given day. Defense is priority. Let’s go Hoyas!

Also from that South Carolina paper:
"With Coastal trying to salt away the game, the Gamecocks forced a last-second jump ball. Coastal player DeShawn Thomas threw the ball forcefully at USC’s Chico Carter Jr., then Gamecocks big man Josh Gray picked the ball up and threw it at a Coastal player’s head.
The sequence resulted in technical foul for Thomas and flagrant 2 foul for Gray, which resulted in an ejection and an irate Frank Martin greeting him on the sideline."
Um, doesn't a flagrant 2 like that involve some kind of suspension?

No. Only ejection from that game. A flagrant 2 foul is two shots and the ball and the player is ejected from the game. The rules committee added more words to describe this scenario, including brutal, harsh or cruel or dangerous or punishing. “There will be more opportunities for teaching,” Gavitt said. “Everyone will adjust and a cleaner game for it." www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/article/2019-11-05/mens-college-basketball-rule-changes-know-about-season

Keep up the great work, NCAA!

Your definitely seeing something that I am not remotely seeing w/this current team. I don't care how bad SC is we barely survived Longwood without their best player...I don't see us blowing anyone out right now...
