As we used to say in the Nam, "Don't mean nothin'"...seems out of "line" to me, but yes we are young, yes this is our first road game, and yes we had to travel across country, but based on what I've read about them, I think even 5.5 is high...I'd have made them 2.5-3 point favorites based on being "at home"...shock the world, Hoyas! you can beat this team!

Anyone else seeing something else listed on ESPN2 after the USC/StJoes game?

Looks like my cable provider in SE Florida, Hotwire, has the MSU-Uconn game at noon on ESPN2. Any other ideas about how to watch the game would be appreciated. It’s on at midnight not noon I don't know how I'm going to be able to stay up to watch this game. I'm also one of the people that can't record and watch later. It's going to be a long night.

I’m counting on that post lunch power nap getting me through the game.

I am seeing on another program listed on ESPN 2- a special from The Undefeated - at 11:30. I have Youtube TV. I am going to tape the program listed and hope it's a mistake in programming listing.

FWIW, my listing on ESPN2 is our game (NY area DirecTV).

There's 2 games. Ours is slated to start at 11:57 according to espn.com. maybe they have a program on in between games.

Between this midnight game and our noon game on New Year's Day, I feel like our game times could have been a bit less brutal. Though, I'd have preferred the midnight over the noon when I was in college.

But why? Hardcore pressing isn't a regularly effective tactic even in college basketball anymore. It's a 40 minute game, and these players should be in shape. I'm trying to figure out what advantage any team gets by shuttling out their better players before fatigue makes them less effective? I get it. People really liked it FORTY YEARS ago. But we're now about the same distance away in time from those days as those days were FROM WORLD WAR II. changes, from the three point line to the level of carrying allowed to the overall talent level. I don't mind it right now -- give the players experience and a chance to prove they deserve time. But this is a relic of a different age when pressing was far more effective, and when Georgetown had far deeper talent. Exactly. The three point line being there is a huge factor in making the press less effective. In 1980, if you pressed and messed up, worst case scenario is that you give up 2 points. Now, when the press is broken you risk allowing 3 points (50% more). For the press or pressure defense to be effective, you also have to force a lot of turnovers, something Georgetown has done very poorly when pressing. It’s just not a viable full-game strategy anymore unless your personnel perfectly fits what you’re trying to do, and even then, it’s suboptimal and the reason only a handful of coaches still do it.

ESPN is the worst, the day they try to buy the BE back is the day we die.
