If there are 230 better players in his class, then I am a monkey's uncle.
Until we can consistently get Top 50 players, I will take the Dante Harris, Jordan Riley, D'Ante Bass types all day long.
Recruiting stars are for people who don't have enough knowledge to invent criteria and standards for assessment for themselves. Clearly, Patrick and the staff know how to identify talent.

He’s a real athletic specimen, like Jordan Riley, Josh LeBlanc, Aaron Bowen, Vernon Macklin, Jaren Jackson, Bill Martin, etc.

The things that we did, we had lunch and dinner, and that was pretty good. I met the team. The team, I’m hoping that they have a good year this year. The player I’d say that they had alongside me most was Dante Harris, and that was real good.
The visit, I didn’t even really care about, going to see the school, because I was like, “Yeah, this is where I want to be at.”
On Day 1 I was like, “I don’t got to see no more. Just take me to the gym.”
He [Dante Harris] was with me the whole time. I was just picking his brain, asking him how school was, how everyone is, and it was pretty good overall. I really enjoyed it. He’s a good person. Everyone there is good, but for him to take me openly and tell me how everything is, I really did appreciate that a lot.

I encourage everyone to read the whole interview...I don't think want to jinx anything...so "hoping" he becomes a Hoya...looks like we would be getting a great player but also a great kid with a good head on his shoulders...

From those comments it sounds like a done deal. But he hasn’t committed yet?

Sounds like a done deal to me especially with no other visits in between ours and his announcement date.

That's a great discussion. Sounds -- and looks -- like he'd be a tremendous addition to the squad.
3 and smaller 4 seems right, too -- Leblanc type fit. Would be nice to have a more traditional (read: bigger) PF as a complement. Maybe that's Jalin.
And... I know you'd hate to lose Aminu after one, but Bass would be nice cover for that possibility along w/ Riley.

Done deal or not he's a solid kid, much respect! Great read!

Adidas 3SSB is the worst when it comes to recording stats but in the 5 games they have box-scores for Bass he averaged 16.6ppg 6rbds and was 5-11 from 3.
The games I watched his outside shooting wasn't poor. He just didn't take a ton and didn't get a lot of opportunities. The ones he took he made. His form looks solid and I think with gym work and a boost in confidence he should at least be average in that area. Attacking the basket/dribbling and shooting with his off hand is my biggest concern and the area we need to see the most improvement in if he wants to take his offensive game to the next level imo.

I REALLY like what I see so far. Athletic, high motor with a developing skill set. That’s a great place to start.

Seems to be a kid who could be a useful piece when he’s an upperclassman. Putting another one on the board alike be good to stem the tide.

Very excited about the prospect that he'll be a Hoya...and I know nothing but would conjecture that the Friday commitment may be so that he can announce at his school which is so often done...I think he's very underrated and will be an excellent college player who will only get better with time...you can't teach his level of quickness and athleticism, and given his desire and work ethic, I think he will continue to refine his skills...In the end, I'd rather have him for 3 or 4 years than Baldwin or Livingston for 1 because we need continuity and growth...

So with that said, is Georgetown a developing program or rather a program that develops players? If so, I can roll with that type of a program identity. Five stars are great but they don't always win championships (Kentucky). Watching the Picket's and Blair's fortify Big John's legacy means more to me then the flashy one and done kids that are just easy tracking their way into the league. Commitment, devotion and love (and I'm still single, this makes no sense)!!!!
