Cut pasted from ‘22 thread:
RIVALS' REACTION
Bass has length and a lot of pop in his game, that is undeniable. In this setting he showcased that he could play from the wing and make some plays toward the basket, going left. He has great balance in the paint and a frame that should put on good weight, easily. Defensively, that will be Bass’ calling card. He can guard the perimeter or switch down in the post.
To speak toward his versatility, in his first game here, Bass guarded a 7-foot high-major recruit. In his second game here, Bass guarded a five-star big wing. He held both players below 10 points. Look for programs who value toughness and guys who make winning plays to really like what Bass does.

Toughness? Wining plays? Sounds like a guy we all like named Dante Harris. A good program and team needs an identity. In addition to that identity consisting of a motion/back cut/high low or whatever type offense and whatever defensive system, a part of that identity needs to be toughness and winning attitude. Ewing has shown he values toughness, which I like a lot in him as a coach. Figuring out offense and defense are more important and more difficult but grabbing a guy like this with so many open ships really can't hurt. Worse case scenario he's a good defender to bring off the bench his junior and senior years (unless he joins the attrition parade).

Would be a decent get this late in the cycle. Kind of player that has the size/athleticism needed but would likely need a couple years to adjust to college ball before having a chance at being a major piece. Love Pat getting out on the recruiting trail. Don't let him out of the building.

Tidy Friday, Bass a company will be on the Hilltop this weekend or Monday for sure. Be sure to lock him down until he signs!

Yes...he has 3 pt range and he can score in the mid range and attacking the basket (had 3 3s in a playoff game last year)...I think his stroke/shooting form is solid, but don't know what his % was from deep...I think his quickness and athleticism are already there but probably needs to continue polishing his offensive game which he will over time given his work ethic...big time athlete...

He shortens the floor at both ends of the court with his quickness and bounce, like I said before he could be dangerous in the halfcourt defense.

I know it’s a highlight tape but…why is that kid ranked so low.
I’m no scout so maybe somebody can enlighten me.

Improved shooting and ball skills will really make a difference. Big fan of his upside in college and think our skills staff would do wonders for him.

He is more fluid and athletica than Leblanc. More skilled too. He would be a great addition.

Hopefully we will be able to secure a commitment from Bass on this visit. We are assembling a very athletic squad. Sort of like out old teams or the current FSU teams. We have ball handlers, picking up shooters this year and next and runners. I don't remember which poster stated it, but looking forward to continued improvement. Very dynamic personnel.

Athletic players can only help when it comes to defense and rebounding. 👍🏻
