Seems like Coach Ewing and the staff are moving on to the '23 class at this point and not as focused on the '22 recruits. I know they are supposed to have a few official visits set for some '22 kids and maybe they can land one more of them, but it doesn't look like they are trying to add too many more high school players to next years group. I wouldn't read too much into it tbh. This is the time of year when you have to do both since it's hard to get to kids games in season. Especially when you're talking about kids like Gardner and Jackson. Don't think they're looking to reach on a 22 kid, but think they like the ones who are on their board and will still pursue them vigorously. Man, wouldn't that be the bomb if they got both Gardner and Jackson?! Man I would be so hype. In regards to moving on to the 23 kids, I think it is the right thing to do. I hope this is the strategy going forward....focus on a few top recruits a year spread over two to three classes. It's time we stop wasting time on lower rank guys who are not going to stick around. The two and three star guys have to be special or have a specialty about them like Anglin (I love that kid) even though Anglin is no longer a three star player and he has since become a four star guy. Mac was a special guy and he was very talented but he turned on us same with Q. I'm not saying that all the lower rank kids are like Mac and Q but after what we've gone through with Mac and Q, I hope staff has had enough. I hope we only give a lower rank kid the shine if he has a specialty or we see his talent and the other schools are ignoring him and we feel we have a chance to land him. I hope we only focus on twenty to thirty kids (high four star and five star players mostly) a year spread over three classes. We give guys like Gardner and Jackson most of our attention trying to swoon these guys to sign with Georgetown and not put as much focus on the two and three star players as we had in the past. If we land one or two guys a year like Anglin along with a high four star and or five star player, we can make up the roster from the transfer market after the high school recruiting is over or even during it, depending upon what our needs are and if there are some good talent available in the pool. Our recruiting will improve in no time and we will start to attract more high four star and even more importantly five star guys as well.

I really like Gardner and thought the staff was in a good place for him, but seeing him take a visit to L$U is not a good sign!!!!

It's not a problem if we keep showing him love and if the team is competitive. Kids aren't looking at LSU, UK and Memphis the way we look at them. They see a team that is competitive, with a cool coach that can get them to the L. If we do our part we will have a true chance with this kid. He likes GTown and he will visit.

I mean, he’s had nice things to say about us, but he’s said nice things about other programs also. I don’t get too excited about what a kid does/says this early in the game unless he’s about to decide. An LSU official rn doesn’t mean much in my view. Good for them to get him on campus, but usually an official later on in the process is way more significant than a kid taking advantage of the new rules regarding OV’s.

IMHO….I spend less and less time on these recruiting threads as being able to keep you players and getting guys to transfer in is probably more important than recruiting 17 year olds. And yet, people sit here bashing the program when we don’t get these guy.

This hunger to know what recruits are going to do, who they're going to choose is more often than not a losing proposition. We lose so much more than we win, but we're always hopeful! "The hopeful and often frustrated Hoyas." Me too! I guess we need something to be distracted by.LOL

No one knows what it means, but it's provocative.. it gets the people going lol ball so hard I think y'all need to take a timeout. Otherwise, someone will be put in the penalty box. [more questionable sports metaphors]

I think he needs to reclassify to 2022, he's got the motor to play college ball
